IT AMAZES ME EVERYTIME i walk in a goodwill store and I have been to over 100 stores world wide. How can this be "non profit"?? they charge so much for their items that have been donated I guess when they hit their goal of so much they decided to double it?? and where does this money go? yes yes I know they put the challenged to work ok what else? in my community they do not help the homeless,(st. vincent de paul) they do not feed the hungry,(salvation army) they do not help out with fire housing(red cross) they do not do ANYTHING for our community oh yes they do they put 2 people to work. I know this because the rest of everyone that is working there is doing some type of community service and not recieving payment. I do not know if THEY THEN PAY THE STATE FOR FINES OR WHATEVER IT IS THE REASON THEY ARE VOLUNTEERING COMMUNITY SERVICE BUT I WOULD DOUBT IT!! So that means that they are a 4billion dollar industry and where does 80% go to? paywages?? I cant believe this and dont for one second and anybody that does well you should do soem research like me lol:) I am so very curious where the roughly $200 a month I spend at these stores actually go to. and if they are doing so well then why don they help out with more I have read on here about goodwill being GREEDY and hell yeah couldnt agree more! I mean millions of good hearted people donate to goodwill on a regular basis thinking they are helping out but actually you are better off giving those clothes to somewhere else anywhere else:( It is sad I thought I was doing good and shopping in style BULLSHIT! Im paying big execs. to live lavish lifestyles and these people are stealing from the rich and the poor just pathetic and it keeps on every year.
