We called the 800-411-8104 and was told that we would receive a credit to our account in 7-10 business days. Question ? How did they receive our bank name or account number to charge this to???
The Better Business Bureu told us we needed an address to the company to file a complaint. When we called back the 800 number we received a recording stating that our account was closed and a credit would be on our next statement or two.

POSTED: Tuesday, February 08, 2005I know your report was last year, but I really hope you'll look back here sometime and find this message.
1) Did you return your products or empty bottles to Melaleuca? If you did, you should have received a FULL refund bar postage.
2) Did you sign the membership form? If you did then you should have read the agreement and policy that clearly states your rights as a consumer and member. Also, what to do in the event that you wish to cancel your membership.
3) If you've done the above and still had no satisfaction, I suggest you contact a lawyer and have him/her pen a letter to Melaleuca.
I would like to point out to everyone that one thing seems to be ignored by many when joining a company in whatever capacity:
In Melaleuca's case, they ask you to pen a letter to cancel your membership. A letter will have YOUR signature on it. They can then match it up to their copy of your membership form and see that there is a match. Thus, cancel your membership as requested.
Why can't they do it by telephone?
Simple, how would you feel if one month, you're waiting for the delivery of your usual order to arrive, but nothing comes. Zilch. Nada. You then call the company and ask them where your order is, and they reply that you cancelled your membership earlier in the month. You then say that you did no such thing. What are they to do then? Later, you find out that your daughter, or friend or whoever, called Melaleuca or whatever company, and cancelled your membership by pretending to be you on the phone. Perhaps they thought they would be saving you money. Perhaps they did it as a joke or revenge for something. Whatever the reason, this is why Melaleuca CLEARLY states you MUST cancel ANY agreements IN WRITING!
Hope you got reimbursed or sorted it out. More so, hope you knew what was required in the first place.

MICHIGAN BRIDES BEWARE

SUBMITTED: Friday, November 05, 2004
POSTED: Friday, November 05, 2004Our wedding videographer really let us down big time!
We paid in full in advance which we've now learned you should never do until services and/or product are rendered as promised.
I did a lot of scrimping so that we could put our money into the photography & video and so I'm very sad about this!
I just want to warn local Michigan brides of this company. We booked them during the Novi Bridal show this past February.
Famous Film and Video - Peter Vaughn, President www.famousfilmandvideo.net
So please beware! Shop around get every little detail in writing and get references!
~Very sad June Bride L
Well let's start off with they said it would take about 3 weeks and on the 4th week I called them and they said they'd have it in the mail by the following week.
5th week still no video, I called they said it would be there by Thursday of that week.
Thursday still no video so I called again then he said it must have gotten lost in the mail and that he would drop it off to me at work the following Tuesday so he did. And as he was handing it to me he says he'd be out of town the next 3-4 weeks.
We asked for ALL the raw footage and only got it for the ceremony only. Wedding date on main menu is wrong, editing was crap, missed our bubble exit from the chapel, and most of the reception was missing and I know the guys videoing took much more that was on the video.
I tried calling, no answer left message sent email finally heard back from them 5 weeks later with a message then we played phone tag for another 2 weeks. Asked us what we wanted fixed and he said that would be another $250 to re-edit! We said no just fix the date and give us the rest of our raw footage. He said ok it will be in the mail within two weeks. That was 3 weeks ago. Called yesterday and he said it he would put it in the mail on Monday of next week!
Not a pretty situation. I don't know what to do!
