Game Stop return policy is a rip off. I bought my son Who is 7 years old a P/C Game that was new yet Game stop had already opend the game and had the disk in a drawer behind the counter.
The Game turned out to be too hard for him too play (Sims roller coaster) tried too return the game the same day with receipt in hand and was told I could only exchange the game for the same game or they would buy it back as less the what I paid. Chris who works there told me he dosen't like the policy but basicly i was stuck with it. This policy is not disclosed too you untill you get can read it on the receipt by then its too late the transication is done. 1-800 # also told me the policy is on a sign next to the register well is must be really small because I never saw it on on both my visits too the store.
Called there 800 number and was not allowed to talk to a mananger. Aso was told if I dispute the charge with my credit card compnay I would get in big trouble (there words) I called my credit card company and was told that is not true. So they lied.
Told them I would video tape my self returnig the game with a copy of the receipt and just leave it on the counter. Then I would dispute the charge with my credit card compant knowing the credit card almost always sides with the card holder. From my own experince as a auto repair mananger. Wheather the card holder is right or wrong.
Bottom line they do not take care of there customers and lie to you. Target has a far better policey as well as wallmart I will never spend my hard earned money there again. So they lost a customer over a twenty dollar game. Bad buisness. Dont buy a Game there
