i purchased a "refurbished" system from these crooks and the system would only play about half the games i had. it also came with a generic controller that didn't work properly. there is a gamestop shop that just opened in jesup georgia so i decided to trade in this crappy system for a new one. the value for my trade in was less than half what i paid for it and they wouln't take it unless i replaced the controller. i wanted to take out the controller from the new unit i wanted to buy but they refused to allow me to (i have wireless controllers and didn't need the controller anyway). i had also purched two new games from them a day before and hated them so i wanted to trade them in. the purchase price of the games was nearly $60.00. trade in value= $12.00 for 1 day old games!!! it was a very negative experience that is designed to rip off the kiddies. please god, let a class action lawsuit take place against these stores and bankrupt this company!

Who's calling who a snotbag? Us MARINES called individuals such as you shitbirds. I liked the part about how "you" served your country to protect "snotbags" such as me. You post about NCO's and officers giving you such a raw deal. You post about your 10-15 years, time in service.
With that in mind, I'm sure you stayed a nonrate(1-2-3) your whole time in service. By your attitude and immuture rantings and ravings it doesn't surprise me. You live and post in GA and go on to use an APO? WTF? If I were you, I'd go back to the VA and see about filing for some additional disability. Try PTSD. Look it up or better yet, have someone do it for you. Print out copies of your posts. With these in hand, there shouldn't be any question about your mental stability. Semper Fi. God Bless our troops and those navy guys too.

While I may or may not agree with GameStop policies, they have the FREEDOM to make them. And you have the CHOICE on wether you wish to sell your stuff to them. Remember they are a Business out to make a PROFIT. I have heard that they are classified as a CHARITY ORGANIZATION. They have to pay those clerks a wage to stand around & be idiots. They have to pay Commerical Rent on all those stores etc. So just because you dont like the money offered or such, do as another poster suggested and sell it on eBay or privately to someone.
You can then send the extra time & aggrevation that this will entail Personally my time is worth more than the hassle involved. I CHOOSE to use GameStop on occasion and that is a CHOICE I MAKE. So dont whine just because there policies and such dont fit what your fantasy world wants you to believe. You have the freedom to speak out & you have the freedom to choose. But they also have the freedom to create policies you may not like. But if enough people dont like them, they will lose business & they will change. However if most people accept them then that should tell you something also.

Gamestop may be ripping people off

I agree with Tommy in some sense that Gamestop may be ripping people off. However, I do have some suggestions that may help.
What I usually do is instead of trading in my games, I sell them on ebay for almost twice the amount I would get at gamestop. For example, I had bought a brand new nintendo ds, but after a month of playing with it, I found no further use for it, and wanted to trade it back. Gamestop would only pay up to $70 for it, even though I had paid $150 for it. So, I tried my shot with ebay, and my nintendo ds sold for about $130, almost twice the amount that gamestop accept it for.
Anyway, Gamestop only giving $10 credit for each game is totally ridicoulous (excuse any spelling errors). I have my own grudges against the company, but not drastic enough to write a report against them.
I definitely do hope that someone decides to do something about their trading policies, as I do think it's pretty unfair to children and adults alike.

since using this site to voice my freedom of speech, i have only been responded by quacks and wackos. i thought it would be nice to warn others of "rip-offs" and maybe hear from other folks in similiar situations but instead, its nothing but crap and vomit.
this site has a loyal following of bored, nothing else to do people that want to judge someone else.
i have better things to do with my time...........do you?
