I bought a Garrett safety pool cover from Budds Pools because it was promoted that it had a 20 year warranty and it was produced to the highest standards. I was sold this cover and told that the warranty was for any issues that would arise as long as it was not holes or rips in the panels that I caused.
I had the cover installed by the pool company. It was on the pool for two years and not removed. I was not in good health for last summer and that is why it was never removed. This year when it was removed and sent to be repairs because the straps strectched and came apart> Garrett DECLINED the warranty even though the panels are just fine. It is the straps that came apart and this is CLEARLY warranty.
When a company offers a warranty that is limited--- and STILL declines to honor it, this is FRAUD and the company must not be allowed to get away with it. DO NOT USE A GARRETT POOL COVER or buy one! They will not honor the warranty and they will rip you off.....

After speaking with the mamanger Mark, and him understanding the issue and reviewing it personally, the company stood behind the warranty and did all the repairs for NO cost.
If you want action you speak to the correct people within the company and you will get outstanding service from them. I would recomend them to be used now without a doubt!
Garrett Liners is an honorable company thanks to a review from Mark!

After having serious issues withthe custoemr service staff, a senior supervisor called me back. I must say that he was very professional and I was still very angry. After speaking with me for a bit, I calmed down as he was sincerely trying to help. He was really doing his best to explain why the cover was hurt.
While I might not like that mother nature did the damage it did, I can also understand the point of view of Garrett... Mark also stated that he would do his best to make this right. He asked if I would be willing to pay "something" towards it. Especially in light that, the damage was done by mother nature. I stated I would give a little something but that this is a risk the company takes when it gives a 20 year warranty.
Mark was very decent and as such, it seems that this situation will be resolved to all's satisfaction. A final update will be posted when the cover is returned.
