Gary Bush SPEC Consulting Poor Customer Service Groton, New York

I am a reputable local builder and remodeler in the Ithaca area and have used Gary for several years.  He is talented, uses CAD, has hands on experience, can engineer sprinklers and septics as well as structural, can design houses including all the engineering and is LEED Certified.  Gary always has a lot of irons in the fire as a small business man trying to make a living and he has had issues with finding the right professionals to fill out his team and meet his business demand.  Building professionals like myself get the quickest response from Gary because we bring projects to him on a constant and consistent basis.  We are willing to wait for Gary because he does not over engineer solutions or go for the most complex and impractical as some designers do and he charges fairly for his services.

All businesses large and small drop the ball from time to time resulting in poor customer service or communication.  Perhaps Gary was guilty of that in your case, but he is honest and not a rip off. Sometimes a customer may also have unrealistic expectations about when they may receive service or how much it will cost.  Always ask for estimated costs and what is included  in the beginning and be ready to share your budget and timeline for the project upfront so the engineer and builder can quickly determine if they are reasonable enough to pursue your project and let you know that.  As with any business, if you don't get the service you want, vote with your wallet and your feet and take your business elsewhere.

Gary is worth waiting for.
