Gary Osborne, Apothecure Nuvision Pharmacy, BB Laboratories, Texas Institute of Functional Medicine Unethical, Unprofessional, Dysfunctional Businesses Dallas, Texas

I was hired by Gary Osborne, who heads up Apothecure, NuVision Pharmacy, BB Laboratories, and BB Laboratories.  I underwent 3 interviews - one phone interview, and two in person interviews.  During the interviews, Mr. Osborne and I discussed my qualifications for the position at length.  I was very clear both on my resume and verbally about my skills.  I was told I had all the qualifications and quickly offered the postion.  During the first in person interview, we discussed the fact that the previous employee performed some IT duties in addition to the rest of the duties, which I was told he would continue to perform since I am not an IT person.  

I requested the second interview after meeting Mr. Osborne the day before despite having already been offered the position.  I was not concerned about his competency and professionalism, based on some unprofessional remarks he made about previous employees, which including stating that one had a "limp wrist" and "wore his scarf too tight", as well as bragging about being connected to the mafia in Eastern Europe in order to increase business for BB Laboratories.  Mr. Osborne brought up the IT issue again at our second meeting as though it had never been discussed.  

Again, I explained that my skill set did not include IT skills, and for the second time he assured me this was not a problem considering the abundance of other skills I would bring to the organization that the previous employee did not have.  Still not convinced that the company was stable, or that Mr. Osborne was competent to run a business, but needing a job, I negociated a part time employment situation to start.  He seemed thrilled with this arrangement.  After working for the company for two days, Mr. Osborne had an employee leave a message on my voicemail stating my employment was terminated.  I called Mr. Osborne and he explained that he was concerned that I was unable to do the IT work.  He clearly did not remember the detailed conversations we had regarding this matter. 

I was shocked on a few levels: 1) the unprofessionalism displayed by having an employee call and leave a message regarding my termination, 2) the lack of consistency and compentency of a man who is running a compound pharmacy and clinic, and responsible for the health of a lot of people, and 3) that while on the phone he told me that I would be called on to help with the copy writing and editing in the future (which is basically what I was hired to do in the first place). 

I let him know that I would not consider a future relationship with him in any capacity.  During the short time working for this organization, I witnessed firsthand the disorganization and chaos at the company, the poor morale of the employees which appeared to be a result of poor management.  I submitted an invoice to be paid for hours worked, and am waiting to recieve.  However, do I have any further recourse?  Additionally,  I am concerned about the health of the people he sells medicine to, especially since he recently pled guilty to the death of three people due to the mislabeling of drugs.
