Three days after purchase I was already having issues which Rightway said that it was nothing. I ended up fixing the car out of pocket because I wasn't getting any help from Rightway. It was two months later when I ran into a little financial troubles.
I was due every other week and had a simple payment to make but the payments came at a bad time, usually the week I didn't paid. I was late by about 6 hours when the calls started flowing. Three days had passed and Gateway had shut off my car with their fancy devices pre-installed in the car. After paying them I had to wait an additional day for it to be processed before the turn it back on.
unfortunately, I had gotten into an accident about four months in the loan. While I was trying to situate my insurance and try finding a way to work and school I was getting threatening phone calls stating: "Brian, you are a week late on your payment. I understand you have been in an accident but you still need to pay. If you do not pay us by the end of the week we will begin the legal process to garnish your wages. its your choice."
I told them I was trying to balance everything out while trying to pay my more important bills like rent and buying food. The extremely rude lady said "You won't be able to pay those bills anyway if we garnish your wages." I was angry and hung up. I still owe them now for what the insurance didn't cover because they ripped me off on the price of the car as well. I pay them when I am able to make the payment and they do not like it. They call my references telling my references to "tell Brian he has to pay immediately" and even went as far as to harass my parents.
Not only will I never EVER go to Rightway or Gateway, but I'm spreading the word about how they deal and hoping everyone can avoid them. Trust me, it is not worth it.

Apparently I'm still missing something... Why is the finance company to blame if a customer purchases a problematic vehicle?

Coast USA is a fraud

I challenged Brian's claim that he was ripped off on the price of the car but he has refused to respond. He blames the finance company for his inability to honor the agreement.
Of course let's not forget Gordon. He wrote that he was not given the price of the car he purchased. (That's an admission that he didn't attempt to negotiate the price of the vehicle). Then he stated it was $12000. His claim that the vehicle has problems is not relevant to the finance agreement.
There are no valid complaints on this thread that support any claim that Gateway Financial cheated or ripped off anyone. The complaints appear to be from people with poor credit whom are suffering from buyer's remorse.

What is the price in the written contract you signed? There must be a written agreement you sign detailing the price and the terms of repayment. If you signed it without reading it - then that is your problem. Never listen to the F&I guy tell you the terms. Read them for yourself before you sign anything.
If you do not have an actual price in the contract, then why did you sign it?
You are the person that has to protect yourself. When you see a contract that has outrageous terms or price - don't sign it! If you are getting pressured by the car dealer to sign it, then get up and walk out.
It's up to you to read and understand any agreement before you sign it. Once you realize this, things will be much better for you.

Sir, if you need a used car dealer to "tell" you how credit worthy you are, you've already answered your question - YOU'RE NOT!
Instead of a 2006 Fusion, you ought to have been driving a 1991 compact worth a few hundred bucks.
They broke laws by calling all your family? Hardly, I'm sure. Annoying and obnoxious, yeah. But probably perfectly legal unless they continue to call anyone who's requested they do not.
How hard you work, or think you work, is neither here nor there. You are clearly an irresponsible high credit default risk and one of few posters here who I actually hope gets their pay garnished to pay his debts.
I normally loathe such car dealers and finance companies, but some of their "victims" deserve every bit of aggravation these companies end up giving them. The proof is in the attitude they take towards their obligations.
Just for laughs, who's fault was the accident, and was the wonderful 2006 Fusion a total loss?
Please give us all the juicy details.
- Legal Action? You of course obviously mean you have sued them. So since that would be public record please tell us the Court and Case/Docket number of the lawsuit so that we can all follow it.

Are you really 'saying' that no one should enter a rebuttal unless they agree with you? This is a public forum and you don't get to choose who responds or what they can say.
The responses you have received so far have been on target. Bottom line is that you have to pay your bills on time, every time or suffer the consequences.

P.S. yes I've taken legal action before anyone tries and comment against that. It was simply a report for people in my area who have also dealt with them.

Then the "payments came at a bad time, usually the week you didn't get paid."
Next, you continue to make late payments.
Your next little gem states "I pay them when I am able to make the payment and they do not like it."
Now you're angry because they want you to live up to your contractual agreement to pay what you owe on time every time....wow, I can see how you would consider that unfair and uncaring.
You also blamed them for you having to pay repairs on your car because you didn't have adequate insurance. Is there ANYTHING, in you opinion, they did right?
I've got sad news for you...ANY lender would go after you with your lousy payment history.
It's not surprising you have to borrow from this type of lender NOBODY ELSE would even consider loaning you the price of a cup of coffee.
Is there some valid reason why you think the world owes you a living?
Are they attempting to collect more for the car than the amount that was agreed on?

" I still owe them now for what the insurance didn't cover because they ripped me off on the price of the car as well. "
How did that happen? I assume that there was a contract signed and you agreed to the price, right? If you're saying that you didn't bother to research the value of the car before you bought it, that's on you.
Nothing you described in your post is unique to this lender or car dealer.
