Our tablet was broken and when we called they said "We guarantee that we will fix your tablet to working condition in 1 hour for $99.00." We told them exactly what the problem was - the tablet back light turns on, but there is no video input to the screen and the tablet is recognized by our computer when plugged in.
When the tech came 2 hours late, he said that what they described to him was not the problem that we described to the company (he was an independent representative). He called Asus (company of our tablet) and sat on the phone with them doing the exact stuff that we told the tech we had already done. He explained to us that he needs to do it because we are not tech savvy and don't know what we are doing... After 20 minutes on the phone, the tech hung up and said he cannot fix the tablet that it has to be sent in to Asus and we have to pay for that as well as parts and labor.
We called Geeks on Repair immediately and they answered the phone with the same "Guarantee" pitch and then when we explained the situation they said that we still owe them $99 for the 20 minutes that the tech was on the phone with Asus and that if we don't pay then they will send us to collections.
They went very quickly from good customer service to malicious threats!!
They were a terrible company to work with and were disrespectful liars who should be shut down for misrepresentation!!!!

You are exactly the kind of turd we later wish we hadn't paid at all and never have had work for us at all.

Coming in here telling a flat out lie, and then posting your own company information and website to get people to call you.

Your a joke , your only business number is a google number , and you never complained to us about anything , you never even waited more then a couple days to get your payment!!!

You talk down on our YouTube video,....yet your website has a YouTube video on the home page !!!

 

Youve already been paid and you come in here to say that you weren't!!!???

I hope I see you face to face one day you f****** lying sack of s***.!!!!!

Tech who got ripped off.

 I signed up as a tech. Got called 2 weeks later for a MacBook battery replacement. I've done plenty but I never went through any tests or questionnaire for this company to know my expertise. On the call I received to inform me of the task, the tech told me "just watch a YouTube" video. I just thought that was extremely unprofessional. I was also told I'd get paid via PayPal almost immediately. No response & I'm on day 3. FYI .. I completed the job within a half hour & I was asked to direct the customer to PayPal to pay them $99. A message to all Lousy techs, who for whatever reason think its ok to give OUR customers their personal business card, so customers later call them instead of us , and are only able to convince a customer to accept their personal business card after bad mouthing us in any way , shape or form they can find , ....OR MAKE UP!

We will start posting lies about your company also......we will do anything it takes to defend ourselves from wreched , jelous, lying techs whos true anger comes from not having, or not wanting to put up the capital it takes to advertise as expensivly and expansivly as we do.

There are plenty of good techs out there, that have worked for us many jobs and for many years, when they read this they say to themselves ,..."These techs that post on here are the same techs whos mess i laways have to clean up after"

Yes its true, a bad tech goes onsite, screws up a customers computer, doesnt get paid, and then comes on here to b***h and complain about us not paying them.

 

Or, a tech goes onsite, with a hatred for us since we called him for work and not the other way around, and we put forth OUR rules  for him to follow and not the other way around......this creates hatred and spite in little weak people.....since they wish their entire life to be bigger than the big guy...(all strong, proud people reading this right now know this law of human nature very well) and having his liitle man complex later decides to steal our customer,....and the only viable way of doing this, is by TALKING BAD about us........and these unethical techs dont care if they have to make it up....so long as they walk out of their with our customer in their pocket!!

We have been around for years,......weve serviced thousands , upon thousands of HAPPY customers.....and have many GOOD , reliable , honesy techs on our roster.

Its only a few unhappy people that come on here to express their disdain...and it only goes to show how good our service is,...when your competitors feel the need to come in here and bad mouth you in the hopes the business falls into the rut their own business is in right now.

Its funny how you dont have anything bad to say about the tech THAT COULDNT FIX YOU PROBLEM,..yet you attack us, the defensless yet very diligent people/Company on the phone that faciltated your having a tech out to you in the first place.

To your comment of "he was an independent contractor", i ask you,....when the other geek companies out there send you a tech,....do you think theyre NOT sending you independent contractors?

For your information.....the great majority of IT companies that send you techs are sending you "independent contractors",.....or did you think your local Best Price store or Geek Squadron company have 100 Geek Squadron techs and 100 Geek Squadron cars for their daily 100 Geek Squadron onsite appointments they need to drive to everyday in your local area?

If you take offense to our words and expressions...we take even more offense to yours, especially being that you are lying when you say someone from this office "guaranteed" to you that we would fix your tablet problem in  less than an hour...no one here would ever guarantee a customer how long an onsite visit might take, and we record all our calls to make sure none of the phone agents ever mislead a customer in this way or misrepresent.

First off, I would like to comment on the following exerpt from the Owner's intial rebuttal - "

For the customers who have posted here, all we have to say is sorry we didn't live up to your expectations, we always do a 30 day wait to resolve certain issues, and by looking at the dates, had you just waited a bit longer before posting these awful things about us, we would have been more than happy to do a full refund or point you in some other direction; but company policy has it that we do not refund or reward customers who have A) Initiated a charge-back against us,.. or B) Found other venues for resolving their issues with us, such as slandering our name on the internet, instead of waiting 30 days for us to review and resolve their complaint."

It is very hard to say that you do a 30 day wait to resolve certain issues when the first thing the representative on the phone said was that if we disputed it, they would bring us straight to collections. In your experience, does it make sense to wait to pay something when someone directly states they will send you to collections? From my epxerience, that doesn't seem like the best plan of action. The only reason why i wrote a complaint about the company is because they immediately became defensive and threatening. THAT IS NOT THE WAY TO TREAT A CUSTOMER. 

Another exerpt from the above mentioned rebuttal - 

"Almost,  Last but not least, there is alot to say about customers who choose to not work with certain companies because of this and that, but not enough is said about company's who choose to not work with certain customers because of their rude demeanor and low level of ethics and lack of general good people human values are concerned."

I take great offense to the fact that you just told me i have a low level of ethics and rude demeanor. I explained to the tech that came to my house (who AGREED WITH ME) that this was unfair and also to the representative on the phone. You pay for a "guaranteed" service and when the company does not follow through, they succumb to threats? I think that is rude and constitutes low level of ethics!!

We have been around for years,...we were originally incorporated in the state of Nevada, and currently operate in over 42 states.

Notice how anger and resentment fuel more action AND ONLINE POSTINGS then does happiness and satisfaction.

Satisfied and happy customers usually don't write posts online, instead we brighten up their day by fixing their beloved device, and they proceed to share their joy online with family and friends, who later call us for service whenever they have a problem.

The people who post here to slander our good company and good name, are obviously not happy customers, but as anyone who has ever owned a business, or whos ever had a relationship with another human being and is reading this knows, unfortunately, as hard as you might try, ...its impossible to please everyone all the time!

The techs who have posted on this website,..plain and simply did not do their job right or meet our high standards & criteria for when working with our customers and meeting our customers satisfaction, and so they were either not paid for their lousy service , and then subsequently barred from ever working for us again,..or, they were deducted a certain amount of pay (quality control isn't always pretty).

For the customers who have posted here, all we have to say is sorry we didn't live up to your expectations, we always do a 30 day wait to resolve certain issues, and by looking at the dates, had you just waited a bit longer before posting these awful things about us, we would have been more than happy to do a full refund or point you in some other direction; but company policy has it that we do not refund or reward customers who have A) Initiated a charge-back against us,.. or B) Found other venues for resolving their issues with us, such as slandering our name on the internet, instead of waiting 30 days for us to review and resolve their complaint.

Now, Last but not least, this is a business, and our business is to resolve our customers IT related problems for a price, and we guarantee this to everyone and all who call us for services.

Having said that, please notice that these are just a couple of unhappy people out of literally, thousands of very happy customers we've serviced over the years..

If anyone wants to see the proof of my last statement for themselves, please give us a call, and before using our service, pick a month and a year , and we will randomly pick one of our many customers serviced on that month and year you've picked, and call them with you on a 3 way call..( since we protect our customers personal information, we will not give you a name and number directly) but we will let you do all the talking, and you can ask whichever customer from this month and year that you choose, to tell you how they liked our service.

Chances and probabilities have it that there is a 99% chance that the person we call will say great things about us!!

Come on guys!
