The other party never notified Geico. I was in contact with them daily, because I needed a rental car. There is a reason that my son has a car. They contacted me on the 12th and stated they spoke to the witness. But it would be another 5 days before I could get a rental car, because they had to give their insured more time to respond.
Today is the 18th, they said I could have a rental car (keep in mind this is now 12 days later) and to contact the rental car company. I did this. Well, guess what? It is Spring Break and they will not have any cars until the 19th. The appraiser has even called to look at the car, but hasn't yet.
I can not believe a company this big would not be able to give me a car until they could figure out what happened with their insured driver.
