It's really frustrating when you spend hard-earned money on a product, and then this happens. I'm referring to the reliability with General Electric Appliances and I'm hoping you can do something about it. Frankly, I'm furious over this matter.

For the record, I owned a GE 40 PINT DEHUMIDIFIER/ AHG 40 from your company. GE took it to check for a defect so now I have nothing but an empty pocketbook and a damaged floor.

I am so furious about this. This has been going on since last year. I bought a brand new GE Dehumidifier from a seller on ebay. It wasn't in the original box but it was still in the plastic with the manual and warranty taped to the unit. I used the unit ONE time and it overflowed, (auto shut off??) and soaked my rug and warped my floor in my bedroom. The seller didn't want to know anything, so I wrote to GE. They took my claim and called me and now they say the warranty number I gave them was NOT for the unit I bought so they won't do anything now. All I wanted was a dehumidifier for my place, no hassles just less dampness. Now, I have no dehumidifier, no money and a damaged floor and nobody wants to do anything about it. Is this my own fault?!?

Here's what I'd like to see happen: I honestly think that GE is liable since I sent the warranty card in and though it might not be the one for my unit, it is the one that came with it. If they don't want sellers to sell their items on ebay, then they should stipulate that they can't be sold like that. They sell lots to buyers and know they are being resold so who is to take the responsibility for them? All I know is that I paid for an auction for a NEW Dehumidifier and it didn't shut down nor did the red warning light come on when it was filled. That means that something wasn't working right and I know it was not my fault. I would my bedroom repaired to what it was before this incident and a new dehumidifier. I have waited since last last June and I think its about time to get this mess cleared up!! I really hope you can solve this, because it will determine what happens next. You can be sure I won't give my friends a good review of your products.
