It is with strong belief that T&C Federal Credit Union and General Motors Corporation conspired with each other over a debt that I owed T&C I was a direct employee with GM for 12 years when I first started working for them I joined T&C Federal Credit Union by opening an account with them in 1994. I was getting married and wanted to start saving money for my wedding.
I was told that they were a very good credit union at the time. So as time went on I decided to purchase a new car through their member services, everything was going fine my new car purchase was okay, they gave me an interest rate of 6.5 % and that was in 1995. So in 1996 I had gotten married and was preparing to purchase my first home.
We waited about three years after we were married to purchase a house, we moved into our house in the fall of 1999 there was no real debt issue for us with two incomes everything was affordable. So after four years of doing a lease on that particular loan it was time for me to turn that vehicle in, so I did. But at the end of the loan there was a balance of around 1,995.00 that had to be paid off, and that was in 2000. So I paid it off.
Shortly after that, we were in our new house all our bills were up to date, so the wife and me started looking at purchasing two new car's one for her and the other for myself. I figured I'd go back to T&C for another loan, so I did to me it seemed like I would be able to get a better interest rate than the first time I went through them; boy was I wrong they not only gave me a deal but they basically screwed me without any lube.
In 2000 they hit me for 18% interest per vehicle when my wife found out we were being ripped off by these people she got upset with me, that's when our relationship started to head south. I recall the person who was taking care of the loan and handling the paperwork told me Don, whatever you do don't screw this loan up. I said what do you mean by that and she did not give me an answer.
But it was two late the ink had already dried. Besides I kind of just blew it off. My history with them was in pretty good standing, so I thought, as time went on my marriage was on the rocks we were talking divorce the house we had just bought was falling apart, as a matter of fact we were being charged a high interest rate on that also, something like 12.5% both the mortgage company and the credit union were in my butt without any lube, boy how could this have happened I've been hit by predatory lending on both sides, but it got worse from there on.
Now were falling behind on the house and the cars before I knew what hit me we were $10,000.00 dollars behind on the house, and her car was two months behind and no one would help me. The house went into foreclosure, then all of a sudden my wife decides she was not going to contribute to this fiasco anymore, so she pulls the plug on her finances back, and I'm left to go to this screw party alone.
I and my wife begin to separate she moves out, only to leave me stuck in a house that has been invaded by raccoons, mice and fleas, but I feel like as long as I have a job I got a fighting chance, so I declare bankruptcy so I can by some time to figure out what my next move is going to be.
That didn't even help, of the two cars I purchased, one had to go back. If she wasn't going to pay the note or the insurance she surely wasn't going to keep driving it and have me stuck paying for it. So I gave it back to T&C, at that time there was a $14,000.00 balance owed on that particular vehicle. They sold the car for $5000.00 that left the remaining balance at a little over $9,000.00 so I went into an agreement with them to pay $200.00 per month until the debt was paid, and that was in 2002.
So 2006 rolls in it's time for me to turn in my car, so I start looking for a new vehicle I go to Lung hammer Chevrolet and purchase a 2006 Trailblazer. GMAC gives me this song and dance on giving me a interest rate of 6% but what they really didn't tell me is that they were getting ready to screw me also that 6% turned out to mean 6% every week so all together it was more like 12% Interest for the loan.
After I make the purchase I call up T&C to find out what the remaining balance was on my wife's vehicle that I had just turned back in to them 4 years ago and $9000.00 later they told me I still owed them $7,500.00. To my dismay I'm speechless, I ask were did all the money I've been paying you for 4 years go to, you sold the vehicle for $5000.00 Their reply was that it went towards the interest, let me get this correct, I've been paying you $200.00 per month for 4 years are you crazy I said. That's $9000.00 are you nuts charging me interest on something I don't even have anymore. Are you trying to put me in the poor house? Well they did
I tell them I'm not paying them another dime take me to court. What a mistake that was. One month after that I was e-mailed by GM Human Resources asking me to report for citizenship verification. Pryor to that one of my co-workers had asked me if I knew anything about sovereignty. I said no I don't he kept asking me if I was going to file for it, and I told him no. I couldn't understand at the time why they were asking me to report to something like that but now I do. Someone went to great lengths to make me look bad. I'm a U.S. citizen born and raised in this country. After I go for verification about one month after words I was offered a buyout. I asked why am I being offered this and what are my choices. I was told you have none.
Either take it or we'll fire you and give you a two-month severance. So basically I was forced to take the buyout. Once I was out I start looking for employment elsewhere. No one would hire me and I couldn't figure out why, and to this day I still don't have all the answers, but one thing I can say for certain is GM employees are behind the loan I had for the two vehicles and I know who they are. They are linked to T&C Federal Credit Union
In my buyout GM stated that upon accepting this buyout that I nor my family or any of my heirs can sue them or their employees or subsidiaries for their actions. I have contacted GM to have them send me a copy of that buyout but they have not responded back to me. I have physically talked to someone in human resources and I'm being given the run around, and that was in early Sept. of 2008
As a result of all of this my identity has been compromised, on my credit report it shows that I have an address over in B.C. Canada and that I also lived at my supposed to be ex-wife mothers' address, which is also incorrect, this whole situation has made me Homeless and Job-Less. I had to put all my belongings in storage where I eventually lost everything because I couldn't keep paying for storage. Those involved you are going to be exposed because I know whom you are. These are people I used to play golf with and considered my friend's
