General Motors/ Chevrolet Chevrolet Camaro Misleading and inaccurate fuel economy Detroit, Michigan
*Author of original report: Salesperson not cashier
*Consumer Comment: You must have the V6 Camaro,
*Consumer Comment: You are accusing the wrong entity of fraud...
I then contacted GM and the Better Business Bureau and after a four month arbitration was told that mileage varies and that it was out of the Better Business Bureaus jurisdiction. I provided four months of gasoline receipts, manual calculation and dashboard photos showing the onboard computers readings and still GM denies that there is a significant difference between what is advertised and what was delivered. I also provided a copy of an email from the dealer representative that I purchased the vehicle from. In the email, she claims that this happened with a Chevy Equinox and General Motors purchased the vehicle back. However, they still deny an issue with the Camaro even after they were given all of the above proof.
Beware. GM does not stand behind the claims they make of the vehicles they manufacture.
