my new 2003 gmc 4wd truck with less than 2,000 miles had a flat tire with a stone hole through the center of the tread. i guess you should not expect to take your truck off the paved road because they put car tires on them.

this past summer in july it died hasen't run in months. the way it looks now i will have to junk it even though it has not got 9,000 miles on it yet. in my more than 63 years i have had some real junk heaps but this summer was the first time in my life i had to walk home becuse my truck will not run.

sure wish i had bought a toyota!

Maybe I'm missing something, but here we are on 10-30-07 and you are posting about a "new" 2003 vehicle, which by today's date is at least 5 years old. New/old vehicle get flat tires with "stone" holes in them. Also if the new/old vehicle only had 9,000 miles on it, if this is a new/old post it is either in or out of warranty. You don't say what is wrong with the engine but if this is a new post about a 5 year old vehicle with only 9,000 or less miles on it, that means you only put like 150 miles a month which might part of the problem. How many times have you changed the oil in that puppy? Three times? Every 3,000 miles.
