General Motors 2005 GMC Sierra GMC Sierra Brakes Fail & GMC Does Not Care Internet
After reading numerous GM complaints and spending over 2 weeks with GM customer care case number 71-1277824944 and filing a complaint with NHTSA ODI # 10566568 I have given up! I own a 2005 GMC Sierra and I am the only owner! So called Mr. Goodwrench is the only person to work on my vehicle. The truck has 43500 miles when without warning of any ABS light or prior brake issue, I was driving to pick up my kids traveling 45 mph when the brakes went out, I had to apply the ebrake and luckily came to a stop and returned home without incident. Come to find out GMC states it is corrosion/rust, I work in the auto industry and many of my family members are retired GM plant and admin workers and devoted GM loyalists. I thought for sure GM would stand behind a safety related product, but after speaking with GM customer I don't care representatives Lysette, Maria, Kristen, Derek, & Aubrey last names and emails unknown as they will not provide, they say GM is doing nothing.
