I ordered a product from them and never received it. So after almost a month I email asking about it. They tell me I can pay to reship or get a product refund minus 15% restocking fee. I agreed to pay the reshiping. They give me a refund of a little over 21.00 for a product I paid over 60.00 for with shipping. There customer service stinks big time. Why bother asking a customer what they want if your going to do what you want?
In my opinion they are crooks! Crooks with bad customer service.

I'm glad you think I'm so funny but you didn't read everything

AUTHOR: Mindedemelo - (United States of America)

First off I'm not a yahoo. I wanted to pay to reship but the jerk decided to do what he wanted even though he asked me which I wanted. Also I never said I didn't get a fed ex package only that the jerks won't go through my fence. My emu and yes I do have a big bird is incredibly friendly and ups has no issues coming through my gate. Only fed ex. But that has been to this day the only package they didn't get to me.

So for you and the company learn to read I never said that I didn't get packages from them.

I think the problem here was one the company had no customer service. They have a rude jerk whom I'm guessing owns the company and has no concern for anyone but himself.

Lastly why ask someone what they want if your going to do what you want anyway? And you call that customer service? You should be fired if that's how you treat people.

Next time you stop for a meal some where , your server should choose for you something you didn't ask for then maybe you will understand how it feels? It's the same thing don't ask if your only going to do what you want anyway.

Good stuff

AUTHOR: Jack - (United States of America)

This email correspondence is priceless. It's past midnight here but I laughed so hard at this that I felt obligated to stay up - not only to give thanks to everyone involved but also to express an opinion.

First off, thank you Genselect for sharing.

I reread Minde's first reference to her "emu" several times, thinking it was just another misspelling, until it hit me that she really has an emu. A big angry emu in her front yard. Immediately, my mind flooded with images of Tina from Napoleon Dynamite - "Tina, you fat lard, come get some DINNER!... Tina, eat. Food. Eat the FOOD!"

I can only imagine that Genselect's support had a similar "wait what, did she really just say she had an emu" moment. Their passive aggressive sarcasm came out in full force with "We regret that we did not foresee your emu problem or the inability of "sticky notes" to adhere to your fence." That's gold.

All kidding aside, I commend Genselect for defending themselves. I work in customer service and have to deal with yahoos like Minde every day. They threaten and attempt to trash a company's reputation based on childish misdirected frustration.

Minde, if you knew you didn't receive FedEx packages due to your crazy emu, don't agree to FedEx shipping at checkout! And then, after fully knowing Fedex tried to deliver three times, you get angry and blame genselect - are you insane? As if they had any control over FedEx's shipping.

I think Minde's issue is that she would have had to pay for shipping again. This is a legitimate complaint and understandably frustrating. But here is the deal Minde, genselect is a for profit business and can't foot the bill every time customers like you don't receive their FedEx packages for whatever bizarre reasons.

Lastly, why would they resend it? Minde said herself that FedEx wouldn't deliver and sticky notes blow away. The ONLY option is to refund your money. Regrettably, Minde failed to draw that conclusion at all, let alone as quickly as gen support did.

Alright, I've had enough. Thanks to all for the late night drama!

In Defense Of GenSelect.com

AUTHOR: GenSelect Support - (USA)

In defense of GenSelect: FedEx attempted unsuccessfully 3 times to deliver to this client, and even followed up with a postcard to which there was no response. So, they returned the package to GenSelect. As you know,
FedEx is a highly professional service, and their failed attempts are documented online in this clients tracking information.

We use FedEx exclusively in the U.S. because they offer a signature service that requires the clients signature for delivery. We have found no other delivery service as professional and economical. Proof of delivery time is important to the timing requirements for the GenSelect system. The client agreed to FedEx delivery for this order.

We offered to reship the package to the client, and she agreed in an email. However, in that SAME email, she told us of the Emu in her yard that prevented deliveries only from FedEx. She also claimed that her fence allowed sticky notes from FedEx to be blown away. And, she claimed not to have received the FedEx postcard.

So, the client has now informed us that she wants a reshipment but that it is impossible to deliver it to her. The only solution we had was to refund the client.

Company owner

AUTHOR: Marc - (United States of America)

Clearly this owner does not even read the guild lines in the report. Phone number and address are clearly given out. Suggest the complainant file against them for both the spreading of personnel info and for what seems clear to me she asked to have it resent and was willing to pay reship fees and they credited her 20 that's a joke why would she offer to give her credit card and ask for ship if all she was to get was 1/3 of her money and no product
I see all her emails stating how after a long Waite and no corispondance from the company she inquired on the order if the company had recieved the product as undeliverable you would think they would contact the purchaser imidiatly to remedy it with reship or return funds
Sounds like a crooked operation to me
Yes people have strange animals I don't see her deny that. I see she admitted that she has problems receiving fed x and asked to reship. I would think that is easily remedied with picking up the product at a local fed ex store if needed. Great cs the company has shown how well they listen to rules. I'd sue them imidiatly for the slander with personnel info

Beware the emu

AUTHOR: GenSelect Support - (USA)

This provides the complete email thread with this customer. As you can see, GenSelect communicated with courtesy and punctuality. Judge for yourself. Look up her FedEx tracking number for verification. It's 116907415037860. And, avoid the emu.

I ordered the d****e a while back and still haven't received it. I  was just wondering if something happened to the order or if it just  takes a long time to get. I was going to order one of the full kits  but would like to find out about this order first.

Dear Minde,

El Dorado Hills is the location to which FedEx returned your order. It  is our shipping facility.

FedEx tried to deliver your order to Sun City out of their Riverside  facility.

We have attached a photo of the labels on your returned order, and as you can see, everything is correct.

FedEx tried unsuccessfully to deliver your order three times, and even  sent you a postcard. You did not respond to the postcard.

Your order from 1/14/2004 was delivered successfully, although it was to a different address.

We can re-ship your order, but you would have to pay the shipping cost again. For that, we would need your credit card information (we do not store that information).

Or, you can request a refund for the product cost only, minus a 15%  restocking fee.

Please let us know how you would like to proceed.

Regards,
GenSelect Support

Dear Minde,

Thanks for your response. If it's the same credit card you used previously, we have the last four numbers and expiration date. All we need are the numbers, except for the last four numbers. Do not send all of the numbers.

Regarding your comments, why would you not recommend our company? The FedEx report shows that they could not deliver to you on three occasions. Did FedEx make a mistake three times, or was no one available to receive your order three times?

Regards,
GenSelect Support

Dear Minde,

We regret that we did not foresee your emu problem or the inability of "sticky notes" to adhere to your fence. Especially after three tries by FedEx, whose exceptionally successful delivery system you agreed to when you ordered.

Since we have no way to address your emu problem or your fence problem, we have credited your account for $21.15. This takes into account that only product purchase costs are refunded (not shipping costs); that there is a 15% restocking charge you agreed to when you ordered; and a
$12.00 return charge from FedEx that you also agreed to when you ordered.

If you choose to order again, please provide an address that can accommodate FedEx delivery.

Also, if you choose to share your comments about GenSelect.com online, we will be happy to respond with a complete copy of your emails with us.

Regards,
GenSelect Support

This is one of your problems I asked for the product not a refund. Your customer service is horrible to say the least. I did agree to FedEx your right but I have never had a package returned they have always called me. I always supply a phone number. But if rude is how you want to be no problem. I will let everyone on my gender swaying sites know how bad your customer service is and how they don't email you to let you know there was a problem with shipping. Just keep your money then when you ask about it say you have to pay to re-ship. Which I agreed to not the refund as I didn't want to pay you low life's money for restocking. I will take my shipping problem up with FedEx personally. I will also let everyone know on my gender swaying sites how rude your company is as well as how they ask you what you want then do what they want. I will leave bad reviews everywhere I can. So I hope that doing what you want instead of what I asked was worth it to you.

Funny I was angry that I was going to have to re-ship but one I was going to and two I wasn't going to say anything bad about your company until you became rude. So again I really hope it was worth it.
