I recieved a letter from Georgia Check Recovery Inc stating that this letter was my final notice  ( I never received a letter from them before) and over the next five days a decision would be made as to which of the various collection alternatives would be used to recover their clients funds including civil and criminal penalties, law enforcement, jail time.

This letter is  completely generic no where on it showed what check or to whom the check was written.

Upon contacting them a woman named Shirley told me that it was a certain check number, and the date was back in Jan of 2010..............................I asked for a copy of that check to be mailed to me. Her reply was that they could not do that because if it fell into someone others hands they could be sued, then she told me to call the bank so I did.   I called my bank's customer service they could find no such check number, I went in person to the bank and again no such check number ever on my account had been written. I was told at the bank there are alot of customers coming in with these very types of letters with threats of going to be sued and again no such check number existed on their accounts.

On this letter Georgia Check Recovery sent, no information of the check number or amount is listed, nor the legal fees they state is owed to them for recovery of the NSF check.

I asked that a detailed bill be mailed to me showing how much the check was to begin with and their fees listed, the man I spoke with asked for my email address and he would send it via email.  Well no surprise I never got it.

I'm going to be following up on this Georgia Check Recovery by making a police report of harassment thru the mail, and calling the District Attorney, and Attorney General.

These people need to be stopped and quit scaring people in to paying something that is not legit.

These people went so far as to be rude to me as if I had committed a crime just by my asking for a copy of the check to verify I had indeed wrote it.

Please beware there are people like these that are so desperate and willing to sink so low as fasely accuse people of something they haven't done.

Any time a person is accused of writing a bad check please go into your bank and have your bank look in to it, such is my case no such check was ever issued or used from my account.

I hope this helps.
