It is totally unfair that because someone is naturally thin to claim that they're a drug addict.  Being a business owner and mother of 2, it's a terrible thing to accuse someone of. 

I have only ever, out of the 6 years I've been going to her (following her from previous salons to the one she now owns) had one minor issue with my hair.  And it was fixed immediately.  I tried to go to another stylist when I thought she was on maternity leave, and after paying twice as much at Diva salon because I chose an expert stylist, I left with early 90's mall bangs and as long as she's working,  I will never make the mistake of going elsewhere again. 

She is probably the best colourist in town, and I now have about 6 friends who go to her as well.  (One strayed, and came back with her tail between her legs too) 

Sounds like you're taking out some crazy jealous thing out on her.  Otherwise you likely would have described the exact process that went wrong.

I have been a client of Gillian's for at least three years and would not go to anyone else.  I went to her upon the recommendation of a friend.  Gillian cuts and colors my hair on a regular basis.  In fact, I was in to see her two days ago and am very pleased with her work and the compliments I am receiving about my hair.

Gillian and all of her staff have been totally professional in every interaction with me.  I have never been unhappy with my cut or color.  I have witnessed Gillian interact with her staff and with other clients.  Not only is she creative in her work, she talks to each person about how the style fits into his / her life and if he/she will be able to style it properly.

How this person can claim Gillian is a "liar and a thief" with absolutely nothing to base it on is beyond me. Her comment that Gillian "looks to have a problem with drugs" would be laughable if it weren't so potentially damaging to the reputation of a business woman and mother.  My observation is that Gillian's shop is always busy.  Gillian coordinates the needs of multiple clients, is available to her child who she keeps involved in many activities, supports her staff and deals with various vendors.  While doing all of this, she has consistently kept my appointments on time and attended to my comfort.  Clearly a person could not manage these competing demands if she were "on drugs".  

Clearly the author of this complaint has some character pathology that prevents her from making her wishes known appropriately or is perhaps the owner of a competing business.  I would strongly encourage those who have not been into the salon to try it out and see for themselves.  I have recommended Gillian and her staff to friends and family who have all been happy.

"Get Banged Salon"  & owner Gillian Mickelow do not deserve to be involved with this website. I have been a customer of Gillian's for a very long time and support her talent as a hairdresser. She is not a drug addict - that is ridiculous and a very immature accusation. The women works 24/ 7 & has a very active son to keep up with. People who are naturally thin do not deserve such comments. Please do not judge this salon on a person who would post on a website like this - I believe it shows just what type of a person they are.

You would be lucky to have Gill as your hairdresser - I know that I am.

I have been a customer of Get Banged Salon Boutique for approximately 5-6 years. In this time, I have watched and seen her business grow. Her client list grows every day and in a short time, grew large enough enable her to hire staff as well.

Gillian happens to be one of the best hairdressers in Calgary. She is a very hard working professional stylist who will go to extremely great lengths to satisfy her customers. Without new, happy and return customers you can't have growth. Company growth, hiring staff and numbers just don't lie. That can't be debated.

It's clear the contents of the original complaint were written disregarding and not obeying the rules of using this website. false statements (use of drugs) and character defamation (liar, thief), are absolutely NOT adding anything useful to the discussion (which is another rule).

The quality of the complaint itself is low, and as we can see, that type is not constructive and holds no water. For THAT reason and the reasons listed above, I believe the complaint should be removed all together.

What's the complainant really angry about? She was unable to resolve a dispute and has burned a bridge with the best hairdresser in Calgary. And she knows it :) Good hairdressers are hard to find and I would, and still do recommend this fabulous salon :)

First and foremost, our salon works very hard to always maintain the integrity of our guests hair and it is our policy that if you are unhappy with the service provided then we will fix it according to the original consultation.  We do not charge ever for a service to fix hair.  We pride ourselves in our work and if you are unhappy with the final product we will do everything in our power to right what is wrong.  I am not a liar or a thief and most importantly not a drug addict.  I pride myself on the quality of work we do and will always do our best to make our clients happy.  I have staff and over 500 clients that will attest to our level of professionalism at our salon and if the person that has wrote this would like to come out from behind a computer screen and let us know in person what we can do to make right this situation, please feel free to contact me.
