I terminated our contract with them in Feb 2002, and am sad I waited so long! I can't believe I let myself get swindled by the fast talkers at Gibson Trust, and am only grateful I found this site in time to file my proof of claim form for the lawsuit.
Please - if anyone you know is going to get involved with a debt-management/consolidation/reduction company, THOROUGHLY research them, don't go with someone out of state, and make sure you know exactly what you are getting into before signing anything!
We're out quite a bit of money due to Gibson Trust, and worse than that - our credit rating is HORRIBLE!!! Now we're having trouble just getting approved for anything at all! Much less having to pay all of the late fees that Gibson Trust caused us.
I am sooooo ticked off!
Don't stop fighting the good fight out there against scum like Gibson Trust, CFCCS (their new name in Deerfield, FL), and all of the copycats out there. Hopefully we can at least get some of our hard-earned money back from this lawsuit!
