This is no more than the old; "You have won a free XXX! Just come to our office and attend a free travel seminar and the gift is yours!" scam that was popular years ago. You go, they subject you to a long, high-pressure sales pitch for timeshares or cruises or whatever and when you refuse and try to claim your prize, they either hand you a cheap replica or make it as difficult as possible to get the gift, hoping you'll give up.
When I told her I was not interested, she went immediately into another song and dance about how wonderful the tablet computer was and how it was free of shipping and handling and tax and all that. I said; "Really? How about my 100 mile round trip and the time lost listening to the sales pitch?" I again refused and she was still talking when I hung up.
T. J. Johnson & Associates, Gifts by Monet and Global Travel (probably not real names of any of them or else they are fake and/or storefront companies) are to be avoided at all costs.
