Glenn Vegas contacted an artist about promoting an event for him. She said she would rather perform. He said that was perfect because he really liked her music.

After they talked briefly about the venue and performances coming up, he continued to send her text messages about how he missed her, how they had a sexual connection, started calling her pet names, etc. The artist and Glenn Vegas had never even met in person at this point.

The event ended up being a completely unprofessional waste of time. There was no proper stage. No proper audio. There was an "A&R" there from RCA who was the promoted guest of the evening and was said to be there scouting talent. Glenn Vegas said that getting a written evaluation from the A&R would cost $60. The A&R was not to be approached, as he would be the one to tell them who he wanted to work with. Also, barely anyone showed up for this event.

He marketed the event to this artist as a "house music venue" and said it would not be dominated by all one genre, especially hip hop. This is important because A&R's are usually only interested in certain genres when they are scouting. The entire event was all hip hop.

The "A&R" got completely wasted and was falling asleep on the couch and bathroom early into the evening. (This was witnessed.)

After her performance, the artist left since there was no point sticking around. Once Vegas continued to text her about getting together and starting a relationship, the artist let him down gently, as she was clearly not interested and had never responded to any of his other texts about this subject matter before.

Once he was rejected, he told her that he didn't want to have a professional relationship with her. The only reason he invited her to perform for free was because he thought it would give him a chance to get more from her.

He stated over text messaging that all the other artists/rappers paid him $300 to perform plus $60 for the evaulations. He laughed and said how the A&R that was invited (Ryan Davis) had no power to sign anyone and that he and the A&R came out $3000 ahead.

This report is being submitted so other artists don't need to go through anything similar. You should NEVER pay to perform. You should never trust this promoter with anything entertainment industry-related.

Actually I'm Whitney

AUTHOR: whitney - ()

POSTED: Saturday, August 30, 2014

Haha, I just saw this. I wasn't involved in the original report. I know someone asked me about the event and talked about reporting it after I complained on facebook, though.

First, I'd like to say that there is proof to everything the original reports states. I saved all the screen shots of the conversation I had with Glenn Vegas or whatever the hell his real name is. It's true I only had 3 people come to see me perform. What isn't mentioned is that that was the second most amount of people brought in by anyone. The most brought in by a performer was 10. Everyone else that was there was a performer. I certainly never met anyone named Adam there running the event.

The event was super unprofessional and I certainly did complain about the lighting and sound. There wasn't even a stage and the INTERN A&R (Glenn said this after the event) had no power to make any decisions for anyone. Contacting Atlantic records, they confirmed this. Needless to say, it was a money making scam.

I honestly feel bad for artists that fall for people like Glenn Vegas. He contacted me and offered to have me perform for ticket sales. He hit on me the whole time which is probably the reason why he didn't try and scam me into paying. It's true that after I told him I wasn't interested in him, his ego got really hurt and he lashed out. But hey, that's how insecure and pathetic people react.

I have all the proof still if anyone needs to see it.

Peace & Love

Bogus report filed

AUTHOR: Adam - ()

POSTED: Sunday, April 20, 2014

The girl who filed this complaint maliciously is Whitney Star.

My name is Adam. I threw the event in August 2013 and Glenn was my promoter handling some business operatoons working with talent.

According to my records, Ms. Star approached Glenn Vegas to put her in an emerging talent event. As a promoter, Glenn welcomed the opportunity to all artists as a chance to perform. Whitney was chosen as one of the artists for the event. Part of the requirement was each artist had a responsibity to purchase ticket packages in advance at discounted prices which they must resell to make money.

As a promoter, Glenn's responsibility was to pre-screen artists music to qualify it for event meaning we were not seeking hardcore rap. Glenn informed Whitney her music was good rnough for the event to be qualified and accepted her into the event. However, Glenn was not a judge of talent for this event he was just instructed to refrain from choosing hardcore rap for the event.

As for who liked who tit-for-tat is irrelavent.

Whitney Star informed us that she was a model, actress and well known with a very large following. She dud not want to pay to sell tickets but she felt she was not an ordinary artist. At thst point we decided to put her on the flyer and waive her ticket requirement in return she would draw a large crowd to attend.

Each artist must purchase a minimum amount of tickets to perform. Unfortunately they all did not produce up to expectations.

On the day of the event Whitney Star failed miserably. She brought 3 people, complained about the lighting, sound, stage, audjence etc.

There was a representative in attendance from a record label as sn invited guest. He was not in attendance to judge the artists but thats not to say he would not approach an artist if they were talented. We offered evaluations if anyone wanted one in advance for purchase. Only 1 artist chose an evaluation and it was not Whitney Star.

Whitney complained that the label rep was falling asleep. I was present to say thst was inaccurate. The label was not inattendance to see Whitney so he tuned out when he didnt think she was that good.

Multiple sources confitmed she was not very good as an artist and had no crowd to support her so in the end she was given a free opportunity and failed considerably.

After the event I was informed that Whitney was flipping out because she took off work and the labrl rep wasnt interested in her so she took the blame out on Glenn.
