I am a real estate broker in Ohio. I was contacted through email by a man claiming to be Dr Alex Eskander. He said he was looking to move to Cleveland and wanted help finding a property. I sent him several listings within the price range and parameters that he asked for. He picked out a house that he said he wanted to purchase. I was concerned that he didn't know enough about the location and wanted to know where he planned to work. He ignored all these questions. I decided that this was probably a scam but thought I would play it out until the red flag came up. He wanted me to find an attorney to help with his transaction. I explained that we do escrow closes and that he might be find just using a title company. He could have his attorney that he uses now look over the paperwork. He then asked for contact information for the title company. Several days later a check for $198000.00 Certified Citi bank check showed up. The title company and I thought this was strange and we both figured this was going nowhere good. I explained that he was putting the cart before the horse as he didn't have an executed contract on a house. I also stated that we need proof of funds. This is where Global Finacial Management came into play. I was sent a lettter from this company with Karen jamesn as the account manager. The letter stated that Dr Eskander had a sizable (almost ridiculous) amount of money in the account. He then filled out the contract that I had sent him and then tried to instruct the title company to disburse the check. This is where he was going to pull off his rip off. I told him that the title comany can not disburse the funds for anything except the purchase of the house. At this time I knew for sure it was a scam. Then I found these reports on Ripp off. I had googled both the company and Dr Eskander but didn't find anything bad until I came to this site. In the mean time the real Dr. Eskander is having his idenity used for this ripp Off.
