I get a confirmation e-mail with the website and it was from Justin Cobb's email but signed on the bottom from Yasmin. The web site was ExecutiveAdvertising.com, humm I thought thats strange, aren't they called Global Marketing Solutions? I went in the next day and there were tons of people applying for the job. I filled out an application and now that I think about it, it was like applying for a retail job. It also asked if I have a vehicle. Why do you care I have a car? The interview was short and Rhanda was the one who interviewed me. She spoke most of the time telling me that if you work hard you can be a manager in no time. Even if you have no experience... humm.... Then she said that she will call me back if I make it to the second interview. I left feeling that this was so strange, I just didn't feel like this was real. Something didn't feel right.
2 hours later I get the call that they want me for the second interview and a second confirmation e-mail just like the first. It said wear comfortable shoes... WHAT?! Why?!
So I went home and did some research, it all was making me feel odd. I found countless websites and this one included with many people complaining. Apparently, when you go back the next day they send you door to door selling (comfy shoes!) and talked into how great it is. They waste your time thinking that this is a real career when in fact it is not salary based or a real marketing career.
Needless to say I called them and asked if they had another web site and they said no, it's under construction. If this company is so big and wonderful why don't you have another web site? I said I wanted to cancel my appointment, the girl on the phone who I think was Rhanda (American Accent) asked me why and I said because I feel that the company is shady. She said "Well, I don't know why you would think that" and I said yeah? and she was quiet for a few seconds and I just hung up the phone. IF YOU DON"T KNOW WHY, STAND UP FOR YOUR COMPANY!
I just want to say thank you to all those who posted reports like this all over the internet because if it was not for you I would have been wasting all my time when I could have been looking for a real job. Good thing for Global Marketing Solutions I found this out now too because I would have went BALLISTIC in their office at the end of the day.
Good luck to everyone on their REAL job search.
