Global Resources, Ltd Haven't been paid for work performed over a month ago Tinton Falls, Nationwide

I was happily retired when I received an email from Global Resources, Ltd requesting that I do 1099 contract work for them.  Figuring that some extra income would come in handy, especially since my much younger wife was about to released from the U.S. Navy for medical reasons without benefits (another whole issue), I filled out their myriad of forms and accepted several contracting jobs for them.  This was in early to late mid-January of 2011.

I arrived at every site with minutes to spare, performed my work professionally and successfully, and followed the reporting in and out instructions to the letter.  I have successful fax sent reports to prove this.

My first paycheck was short 44%, so I emailed my representative, John G, to let him know.  He passed the buck to the payroll department.  I exchanged spirited email with them until I received a phone call from a Maureen, reportedly of their payroll department.  She promised to take card of everything and we disconnected on a friendly note.

The second check came in, which should covered the rest of the jobs I had done for them as well as the amount shorted on the first check.  It contained only the amount shorted on the initial check.  My promised mileage was missing, as was all the hours for the last 3 jobs I did for them.  When I emailed them a no nonsense, give me my money email, Maureen responded with an email of her own that scolded me for being ungrateful that the all-magnanimous Globale Resources Ltd had offered me an opportunity to make money in the present economy!  Can you believe that?

These people owe me more than 66% of the pay I earned for them.  One of the calls I went on for them was to a major player in the banking industry, and it was to put out a fire left by the previous technician who was allgedly run off the site.  The manager of that bank branch thanked me when I was done and told me to my face that I had done an excellent job.  But Global Resources Ltd won't pay me for that work or for the mileage (148 miles round trip).  But they will insinuate that I am an ingrate just because I have demanded what I have earned and what they agreed to pay me.  I also have the emails from John G to prove that.

If you are a qualified professional, do NOT let Global Resources Ltd make use of your skills.  They are, in my opinion, thieves.
