If you like getting paid for working, don't work for Global Resources LTD. I received a message on my answering machine from Donna Capolongo about a month and a half ago. Donna asked me if I wanted to make $15 per hour setting up some computer hardware and software at a Chase bank in my area.

When I called back, this guy named Frank DeGiglio filled me in on this 'job'. I was to go to 280 Midtown Plaza (Rochester, NY) at 7pm for training on Mon, April 17 2006. If you have ever been to Midtown, there are about 30 places to enter the building, and thank god I go there when I did because the place closes at 6pm!!

This was the first thing that made me uneasy. I mean who sets up training in a place that closes at 6pm, an hour after they close? A bunch of shady, incompetent clowns thats who!

I was told repeatedly at the training seminar that I needed this 'paperwork, so that I would get paid. I had still not received this paperwork that they kept talking about. I called Donna, and Frank, and even went so far as to email Kathy Ragsdale (the one that went on and on about needed to have your paperwork, to get paid).

I was assured by all parties involved that I should not worry about it. I also asked Kathy if I should come in at 2pm, or 4pm (I had heard 4 different stories from the other clowns that I was dealing with, on the Global Resource end). I had an internship that day, and since this whole operation seemed like it was a joke, I was not going to commit to 2pm, and ditch my internship unless I was 100 % sure it was going to even happen.

The Friday came and Frank told me that the location changed!!! Instead of a place closer to my house, they wanted me to drive all the way out to The University Of Rochester!! I was shaking my head, wondering why the gods cursed me with this crazy ordeal.

If you have even been to that campus, there is nowhere to park, and they scam you for parking. It took me forever and a day to even find the building. I arrived at 4pm, to be welcomed by the lead technician where have you been, you were supposed to be here at two? Once again, with 15 Chiefs that don't know how to even tie their shoes, it was no wonder why I came at 4pm, instead of 2pm.

The job itself went well, except for the bank employees that had the nerve enough to order Red Lobster takeout, without even asking if we wanted to order also. So as they ate steak and shrimp in from of us, we worked our tails off, and got the job done by 11:30 pm.

I was told by Daniel Cruthis that all I had to do was fill in the time sheet that he had, and I would get paid. Two weeks go by, and no money. I called Donna up to inquire about the situation. Her response you never filled out the time sheet - (well you air head, you and your clan of incompetent morons never sent me the paperwork, so how was I to fill it out, you knucklehead!?!?!?!). This was sounding more and more like they were trying to jive me around, and not pay me.

Donna was supposed to email me the paperwork. It never came; so I called AGAIN! Well I sent it to you, oh, what was your email again (I tell her) oh thats why, I had your email wrong!! My god, where do they find these people. She is the V.P.? I have seen kids in sixth grade that could send an email properly, given that she had sent me emails at least three times before. I'm even more uneasy that this was a scam.

At last I get this blasted paperwork, I filled it out, scanned it, and emailed it back to her within an hour. She replied:

OK DONNA, SO WHERE IS MY MONEY, TWO WEEKS AFTER THAT!

Don't ever work for these shifty idiots. They will not pay you, and they are a bunch of liars, and scoundrels. I should have known better, they are from Jersey.

And when you talk about calling the Labor Board, they get all defensive, and cranky about it.

(Update) Believe It! I too have not been paid

AUTHOR: Chuck - (USA)

I received payment for the hours worked with Global Resources last week.

I received a call today from Anthony the president of Global, he was very concerned about the non-payment issue. He indicated he would do an investigation and assured me that appropriate actions would be taken.

After talking to Anthony, I believe the problems were just a misunderstanding and I would work for Global Resources in the future.

Below is the email transcript between myself and Global resources: The posting by Pete is absolutely correct. Why should it be removed from Rip Off report when it is the truth! If you notice below they claimed to have mailed me a check and then weeks later ask for paperwork.
Judge for yourself. They will not answer my emails or return calls. Emails, last names and phone numbers have been changed or removed.

I have not been paid by Global Resources for work performed almost 2 months ago. Apparently they are ripping off other techs as well, as you can see for yourself at http://www.ripoffreport.com/Employers/Global-Resources/global-resources-ripoff-they-w-6d45j.htm
I would suggest you do no further business with Global Resources as apparently they take the pay from Insight and do not pay the techs. See below for conversations with Global Resources. I am filing a complaint with the California Labor Board. Thank you #####

#3 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Global Resources is quite legitimate

AUTHOR: Michael - (U.S.A.)

I have worked for Global Resources on the Chase project and was always paid promptly. Yes, locations did sometimes change for me too, but as Donna stated, that type of project going off hours just goes that way. It's part of the game. I fully endorse Global Resources as a past employee.

Tap dancing around the real issues Donna; live in reality. You should work for FOX NEWS.

AUTHOR: Pete - (U.S.A.)

My response to this ill conceived response:

I was told by one 'Chief (I.E. too many chiefs and not enough competent people on the same page was the real issue here) that I was to come to work at one time ("we don't need you to come in early"), and when I got there, I was questioned as to why I did not come in early!! What is there for Donna to contest here? Should I have recorded ever conversation with every clown from her company that contradicted each situation? Why would I pass up an easy $15 per hour? The supervisor on the job said that they just stood around for two hours and got paid; the people that were working on the computers systems software were having issues, so we could not do our part of the job, till their end was fixed. Me not being there saved them $30 that Donna can spend on reading comprehension classes.

Donna: "This was a very large project (over 1,000 people) which had many changes which came from the end client -- many times last minute as will happen with projects of this magnitude. All of this work took place after hours - the idea being that it would not conflict with full time jobs or other commitments the technicians may have had during the day - a common practice with deployments of this size."
" (AND THIS RELATES TO YOU NOT BEING ABLE TO REALIZE I SENT YOU ALL THE DOCUMENTS THAT YOU NEEDED TO MAIL MY CHECK OUT IN A TIMELY MANNER?? I THINK NOT.)

This still in no way explains how Donna can not seem to decipher her own companies paperwork, and realize that I had done everything on my end to get paid. It took her boss to figure that out.

Nor does it explain that with so many different people 'in charge', a complete lack of communication on their end was the issue; I completed the job the way I was supposed to, and once again, filled out, and sent (6 + times) said required paperwork.

Donna's lame excuses and half truths in no way got my check to me in a timely manner. It took well over a month to get the check. I spent more time filling out complaint forms, emailing Donna (ONE OF THE MANY DONNA RELATED ISSUES WAS THE FACT THAT SHE SEEMED TO HAVE ADMITTED TO NOT KNOWING MY EMAIL ADDRESS, EVEN THOUGH BEFORE THE JOB STARTED SHE EMAILED ME 5-6 TIMES. HER MEMORY GOT BAD WHEN IT WAS TIME TO PAY ME FOR THE JOB THAT I DID) the same documents over and over (reading comprehension issues on her part. Don't make the paper work so wordy and technical, if the VP can't seem to figure it out.) than the original job was worth. I should have charged them for the hours of re-sending them the same info, and everything else it took just to get a dime out of these group of knuckleheads.

Many of these technical outsourcing groups pull this on 'fly by night ' jobs of this nature. They try to get out of paying you, much like the computer rebate form companies do, by making the forms (and making so many to complete) in a way so as it is open to their opinion (which was clearly the case with Donna) if the paperwork was filled out right, or if all of it was handed in. Its the corporate way to cut manpower costs = try to find as many reasons not to pay people, so said company can take that which is owed to the worker, and transfer it into their account as profit. It took her boss to realize I was ready to have the labor board go after them, because I had proved that I held up my end of the paperwork, etc.

ANOTHER ONE OF DONNA'S LEGLESS FOOT TO STAND ON RESPONSES THAT DOES NOT EVEN RELATE TO THE REAL ISSUE AT HAND (WHICH IS HER LACK OF COMPETENCE IN KNOWING HER OWN COMPANIES PAPERWORK; WHICH IS TO SAY THAT IF YOU ASK FOR PAPERWORK #1, #2, #3, #4; & Donna can't open and decipher the four email attachments showing said paperwork requested, she is incompetent and someone else should be handling such issues).

What does this have to to with the real issue?

Donna: "If this individual felt so uncomfortable with the parameters (WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, I HAD AN ISSUE OF GETTING TWO DIFFERENT START TIMES FROM FOUR DIFFERENT PEOPLE = THATS YOUR COMPANIES ISSUE, NOT MINE) of the project or any changes that were made, he should not have accepted the job in the first place. However, had he made us aware of his concerns (WHAT WAS THE CONCERN? THE CONCERN WAS: "CAN YOU GET 4-5 FIVE PEOPLE THAT ARE IN CHARGE TO AGREE ON A START TIME? IS IT {FOR EXAMPLE} NOON, OR 4PM? AND IF IT IS ONE OR THE OTHER, CAN YOU STICK WITH THAT START TIME, AND NOT CHANGE IT WITHOUT CONTACTING ME?) at the time he had them, we certainly would have addressed them. Arriving two hours (DONNA, YOU ARE MAKING FALSE STATEMENTS THAT COULD GET YOU A SLANDER SUITE. I WAS ON TIME, DEPENDING ON WHICH CLOWN FROM GLOBAL THAT YOU TALK TO. I CAME IN WHEN I WAS TOLD, YOUR INTERNETWORK OF CLOWNS THAT HAD THE SUPERVISOR ROLE COULD NOT KEEP FROM FLIP FLOPPING THE ACTUAL START TIME. ONCE AGAIN, AN ISSUE ON YOUR END THAT PROVES YOUR, AND YOUR COMPANIES LACK OF QUALITY PEOPLE AT THE SUPERVISOR LEVEL) late certainly did not make a good impression by this individual on anyone - most importantly our client. (I WAS ACTUALLY THANKED BY THE PEOPLE AT THE BANK FOR MY WORK ON THE PROJECT, AND I STAYED LATER THAN REQUIRED TO FINISH THE PROJECT DUE TO AN ERROR THAT OCCURRED. SO, DONNA'S EMPTY COMEBACKS ARE ONCE AGAIN PROVEN TO BE LIES, HALF TRUTHS, AND SLANTED BABBLE MUCH LIKE WHAT YOU MIGHT GET IF YOU WATCH FOX NEWS).

#8 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Rebuttal

AUTHOR: Donna Capolongo - (U.S.A.)

This was a very large project (over 1,000 people) which had many changes which came from the end client -- many times last minute as will happen with projects of this magnitude. All of this work took place after hours - the idea being that it would not conflict with full time jobs or other commitments the technicians may have had during the day - a common practice with deployments of this size.

If this individual felt so uncomfortable with the parameters of the project or any changes that were made, he should not have accepted the job in the first place. However, had he made us aware of his concerns at the time he had them, we certainly would have addressed them. Arriving two hours late certainly did not make a good impression by this individual on anyone - most importantly our client.

The complaints in his report are random, incoherent and unsubstantiated.

This is one complaint of the thousands of technicians we have hired and paid for this and other similar projects. He absolutely was paid.

We would appreciate having this ill-conceived, immature, and maligning rant removed from your website.

#9 UPDATE EX-employee responds

From another contractor

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

This is not criticism nor praise. It is a fair assesment. I worked on the Chase project in KY. I did not receive my first check so I sent a few emails. I received a phone call from Anthony - President of the company. He said he wanted to get any issue resolved and asked me if I sent in the contractor's agreement and forms. Sure enough, there it was in an old email from Frank. I filed and emailed it in and called back in two days later. THAT WAS MY OWN ERROR.

Anthony said they received the paperwork and was geting approval to pay us 4 hours for the day we could not do the work (that was 2 weeks ago) and add that to the chedck for the day we completed the reschedule. He said the total will be mailed July 18th (2007).

I am going to be very fair. I got my emails and phone calls answered and responded to, surprisingly by the president himself. So far, all is reasonable. I will respond with the status a week after the 18th when the checks shoud be mailed.
