Global Timeshare Sales By Vacation Property Network Claims to have a buyer for my timeshare, requests $1950, will send papers in 45-60 days...all LIES Orlando, Florida

My experience back in August 2007 is the same as John...this is in response to his...except I actually gave them $1950. They claimed to have an immediate buyer, just needed my money to 'list' my timeshare as it was illegal to sell it otherwise...I asked many questions, called back a few times, BELIEVED what I was told even though skeptical at first. I live far from Florida and we are a trusting people up here.

These guys are good. They convinced me.

The address I gave above is the Orlando one that sent me the receipt for my Credit Card payment.

When they fax the 'contract' it actually does say in tiny print at the bottom that they in no way have anything to do with the sale, they just forward inquiries to us. That's funny because I asked for the name of the buyer and they refuse to give it. Can't believe I was so gullible last year. I guess I wanted to sell my timeshare real bad and they were so convincing. They directly stated on the phone I would receive from 'closing' a package with a prepaid enveloppe for the title when they had received the money. Never heard another thing from them. They say they will 'renew' my advertisemenmt after a year if I contact them but really I don't want another thing to do with them.

Today...Sept 22/08, a 'Global Financial' called and said they were the finance company for the sale of my time share...how much was I asking, and yes they would do all the paper work and send me the money and so on. If I could wait 15 minutes they would call back with the customers offer. Chad Jennings called with an offer higher than I was asking and wanted me to pay the $1950 so we could get on with the sale. Said he already had a 10% down payment. He didn't give much info about who they are etc. I asked...he denied being the same company ( Global Timeshare) but said they had dealt with me a year ago and that at that time I didn't want to pay the fee unless there was a guaranteed sale. The fact is I paid the fee and he said I wasn't even in their system. Then he got huffy and said they had others units for sale so was I 'in' or not. I said not...he was sounding angry and discourteous by this time. He's said their head office was in Massechusetts and I asked for the address....He gave me a different one 2105 Johnson Street, Brockton MA. 05613 than the one I dealt with last year

I suspect they moved.

Today they told me they are not an advertising company but a sales and rental company. I have no way to check that short of sending them another $1950.

In 2007 I also contacted The Department of Business and Professional Regulations
Division of Florida Land Sales, Condos and Mobile Homes in Orlando. They were unable to do anything (as I said these guys are good and cover themselves well) but sent some guidelines for buying and selling timeshares.

A year ago I asked for direct phone numbers for certain sales people...they said to just call the 800 number as they actually have about 40 numbers...

The numbers that have shown up on my call display range from 407-581-3757 down to 3743 and inbetween, today it was 3748. The 800 # is 800-589-9394.

The fact of the matter is I am more bothered by the LIES than the money. And to think they would try it again a year later!
