This is the second time we have received this offer. We took advantage of the first offer last year and over a period of several months in trying to process the airline tickets, we found that they, infact, were not free, nor were we able to get the reservation times we wanted. We were required to pay not only the airport taxes and fees, but also additional charges that totaled somewhere between 180 to 290 dollars depending on where you traveled to At this point we backed out of the deal, and over a period of several more months, we finally received our initial deposit refund of 100 dollars.

"Global Vacation" is sponsors of this so called promotion, and if you sit through their advertisement session, they provide you with information on how to get your free airline tickets. They advertise flying free on several airlines, such as Delta, Southwest Airlines, Jet Blue, and other major airlines, even if you do not sign up for their vacation packages. What is printed on the back of their "make believe boarding pass," is the following: "This promotion is not sponsored by or affiliated with Southwest or Jet Blue, they are a major supplier."

This second invitation (a "Happy Birthday Card") gave a reservation number. To claim the free airline tickets for two, you have to call 1-866-885-0572, which is the phone number of a marketing team. There is no mention of any type of session you have to attend on the card, but when you call, you are told that you must attend the advertisement session for Global Vacation packages.

Other so called companies that are a part of this scam includes "Infinity Incentive Group," and "Flyaway."

Do not become a victim of this scam!

Im not happy

AUTHOR: Daniel - (United States of America)

I filled out a card in a store to win a free Lincoln Navigator. I get a call a few weeks later telling me that Ive won and that I need to go to a resort to take a tour for 90 minutes and get a chance to "WIN" a "FREE" prize. Note that when I am told that I am going to WIN something that there is an implication that I am getting something for FREE that I otherwise would have to PAY for. So I sign up and go listen to a promising spill on purchasing vacation property. It all sounded good, but I just dont have the cash for it. So at the end I get my "PRIZE". Its a scratch off ticket. The prizes were as follows. A new 2010 Lincoln Navigator or Ford Exploder- I mean Explorer, a vacation package, or a Flat screen TV. I scratch the ticket and "WIN" the vacation package. So I come home and start reading this vacation package. Then I realize they took my scratch off ticket. There was fine print on that ticket that I didnt read. That I wasnt "ALLOWED" to read once I scratched off the prize. So Im reviewing this package and start seeing things like "pay a deposit", or"pay taxes and fees" and so on. I start getting the feeling that I was duped. I was really interested in the cruise and so I look it up. I might have to pay around $200.00 or more per person for "REGISTRATION FEES" to do this cruise. And for a 3-4 day cruise at that! My mom just booked a 6 day/5 night cruise for $200.00!!!! So then I go here, http://www.bbb.org/central-northern-western-arizona/business-reviews/incentive-programs/infinity-incentive-group-inc-in-lake-havasu-city-az-15005945/ . Low and behold in three years there have been 81 complaints filed against them. You can cite all the fine print you want IIG, but I was told I "WON" a vacation package. What you have done is put together vacation packages that while POSSIBLY being slightly cheaper in some cases than using a travel agents or booking yourself, are still vacation packages that I have to PAY for. The voucher you have printed up says that, and I quote, This offer ENTITLES you and a companion to RECEIVE a 3or 4...". When I am entitled to receive, that sounds a lot like your going to give me something. But I have to pay a minimum of $179.00 for this cruise if I take it. Im angry at the resort for tricking me into the process, and Im upset with IIG for presenting this material in a way that presents their vacation packages to be free and for creating this atmosphere for companies to use to lure people with. Im scared to even try to book anything with this group after I have read the testimonials online. Thanks for getting my hopes up and crushing them like yesterdays newspaper on the sidewalk.

The company rebuttal response is false -- they do use a word that means "free"

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

The company's "offer" clearly states that the offer is for "complimentary" tickets. "Complimentary" means no cost. This is not qualified anywhere in the offer. The company should be charged with mail fraud.

Infinity Incentive Group - the other side of the story

AUTHOR: Janice Meadows - (U.S.A.)

In response to the complaint posted 8-18-08 by "Terry" from Merritt Island, Florida, I would like to address the comments made about our company - Infinity Incentives Group:

The Promotional Travel Voucher that you refer to in your complaint is an incentive product that we market to companies that use them as an incentive to get you to participate in an informative presentation about their travel club or other type of business. When you receive our voucher, the terms and conditions are printed on the back of the voucher. It clearly states that there are fees that you are responsible for (i.e. taxes, ticketing fee, peak season, weekend or holiday fees, if they apply). This is not a free trip and nowhere on our voucher does it state that it is a free trip. We also have a full Customer Service staff available by telephone (printed on the voucher for your convenience) or email to answer any questions you may have regarding the voucher.

The $100 deposit that is initially required is applied to the fees at the time that you travel. If, for any reason you do not travel, you may write in and cancel your voucher and request a full refund, which is processed and mailed to you within 6-8 weeks (standard time for processing of refunds). Any additional fees that may be due at time of booking would be based on any peak, weekend, or holiday travel that you are requesting. Which would still be a savings of 10 - 30% over what you would otherwise be able to book that same trip.

I cannot address the comments regarding any other representation to you other than what is clearly printed on our vouchers. Your signature is required on the voucher when you mail it in to activate it. It states that you have read and understand the terms and conditions and therefore are signing in agreement with these terms. It also states that you should not rely on any representation other than what is in the contract.

We have a strict company protocol and policy that we follow in fulfillment of these vouchers and are constantly striving to make the process as straight-forward as possible. We welcome your comments as they assist us in providing better customer support and ultimately a better travel experience for our customers.

If you have any additional questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Service Department at 866-653-2139. Our representatives would be happy to assist you.

Sincerely,

Janice Meadows
