She called me back and said she didn't think I wanted to do it because they wanted 5,000 up front and wanted a bank loan approval without right of inspection. And if they decided you didn't get the bid they get to keep the money it is non refundable.
What a scam. You can't get your loan approved without inspection and from what I've read about this company you could put in the bid they said they would take and then you still don't get the property but lose your escrow. How many people lose their money to this company? I think someone should step in and put a stop to their scams. Normal people want homes. I wanted that home but am not pursuing it because I can't get a loan under these circumstances and I can't afford to lose 5,000.
I have been looking for several years and am very disappointed that no one can stop this practice from happening.

My Rebuttal as it should have originally posted

GoHoming.com is owned and run by mortgage banker crooks under the name:
Altisource Solutions, Inc.
2015 Vaughn Road Bldg 400
Kennesaw, GA 30144
Its US operations are highly illegal.
GoHoming is neither follwing a bona fide auction process nor a legal real estate transaction process in its online sales of abandoned and repossessed homes, and as such they are breaking the law in most states by posting the (fake?) real estate offers publicly for each house in an illegal "auction-like" style which violates the fairness rules of genuine real estate auctions.
In most areas of the country, real estate is deliberately being kept off the market by the banks such that they are creating an artificial shortage of houses in order to force people who are looking for houses to get into endless bidding wars with the bankers' online scams like www.GoHoming.com. People typically pay thousands of dollars above market price for an often abandoned house they have never seen.
In a legal real estate action, the bidders are supposed to meet at a location and bring their checks with them. Everyone meets in the same room face to face and you know who you are bidding against. In a bona fide real estate auction, if no one outbids you in a few seconds the house is YOURS and it is typically 20% below the market.
Whereas Gohoming.com, is running an illegal process as they are simply taking in offers and announcing them publicly and waiting for days for a higher bid to appear while everyone waits. They are illegally controlling the sale and you do not know if you are really bidding against a real person with real money or just some fake account on the internet. They keep this going for as long as they want, with no limit. This is not how legal real estate auctions work.
Furthermore, the houses in question were deliberately prevented from short selling by the same banks and legal firms in order to force the original owners to foreclose and face repossession of their home which then ends up on their GoHoming web site.
DO NOT SUPPORT THIS SCAM! This is a huge nationwide con scam run by www.GoHoming.com's big bank operators that the state governments have so far not tried to stop - and these con artists are helping the banks artificially inflate the price of housing by taking advantage of the phony shortage created by banks keeping EVERYTHING off the market and tying up short sales for months, and even YEARS in order to screw both buyers and sellers.
