I decided that fuel had gotten too high and wanted out of the business, so I sent them a 30 day notice of intent to leave, just like the contract said to do. When the 30 days was up, I gave them their trailer back and was told I'd have to wait 2 weeks for my last pay(only one trip thank god) and the escrow for $1500. I waited a month and the check never came, so I called. Left several messages and basically got the run around. Now they don't even have the decency to answer back.
I'm fed up with them. I busted my butt for this company and made them tons of money, but now over a few thousand bucks they want to be idiots. I believe they feel somewhat safe due to this being a trucking business and most drivers do not live near them.
I live in Florida, but I damn sure will travel to Memphis and sue these fools. They have no right to treat people like this and keep money that does not belong to them.
If you own your own truck, do not work for these people. They will eventually screw you over.
