Gold's Gym, owned by John Mahli, owes me $1710. John called the cops on me and a co-worker, reporting us as robbers, which caused a lot of stress, because we had no money on us, on the night of JANUARY 7, 2007, wihle we were closing the gym.

I think this is because, first of all, John is an old man (over 60) and is a bit senile. This event also worked in favor of John getting rid of the employees he didn't want. He purchased the gym from it's former owners, and terminated other employees from the prior ownership, bringing in his own employees from Los Angeles like they were scabs.

After being falsely reported to the police, I was detained, got a brief apology from the owner, then worked the next day for 8 hours without a break, demanding my break twice and not getting it.
