I do not understand how Goodwill operates its employent program. My adult son was referred to this agency after a terrible accident resulting in a head trauma. I researched the services offered and felt with our areas limited resources, Goodwill would best meet his needs. Several months ago we went to the office together and met with their employment rep.(?) The meeting didn't go well because no matter what we discussed she did not seem to know what to do with us....addressing us with, at best...a blank stare. We left without accomplishing anything. I made two attempts to follow up with her after that date and have not recieved a return phone call. Once when I went by the office she was sleeping!!!!!!!!! I voiced my concerns to the agency that referred us and was told Goodwill was the the "best" that had to offer! So, I called the Goodwill office in Spokane Washington where they are supposingly managed and was told they would follow up with the Coeur d'Alene office. Still, we have heard NOTHING. Next, I visited the store in Coeur d' Alene to look for information and a better person to complain to. I was told by staff there that the gal I'm referring to is the manager. But worse yet....was told by enemployee at the store that all the employment practices at this company are unfair/unethical. Apparently the store managers do not like to employ people with disabilities out on the floor as "they" are bad for business and scare off customers!!!!!!!!!!!! Imagine that. I did try to resolve this through the Sokane, Washington office and because I have recieved no response, will be filing a a complaint with their funding organization
