I just read the report by "TCM Lexington, OH" dated 1/30/2008 on Gorayeb Seminars. Please read this report, as I cannot state my experience any better than they did - they are completely accurate. This is not hypnotherapy, it is a scam to get you to pay them to listen to their sales pitch. The sad part to me is that they get people to their seminars under false pretenses, take advantage of people that desperatly want to lose weight and are able to sell them very overpriced supplements of questionable origin.
Our hypnotist/salesman also stated that the supplements he was selling were produced by the only FDA-approved supplement producing facility in the United States. I am checking into this, as I believe this to be a false statement.
When he called a break to sell his "limited supply of half price supplement packages", people were lined up to part with their money. I asked the salesman what financial interest Gorayeb Seminars has in "Whole Nutrients", the supplement producer. He stated that they have no financial interest, they are completely separate businesses, just that Whole Nutrients happens to have the correct supplements in the correct amounts in combined formulas. Yeah, right.
After a couple more questions I stated that I did not pay to go to an infomercial. By this time, a few people in line had started to listen to the conversation, and the salesman quickly offered that, if what he said didn't make sense to me, that he would be glad to refund me right there. I responded that it would be a right good idea, which he did. I had paid by credit card, so I had that small amount of leverage.
I think there would be many more complaints, except that many overweight people have tried so many different plans and pills, that when this one fails, or the supplements make them ill, that they blame themselves for failing another diet.
The ad stated that participants would leave relaxed and alert. I left alert, all right, because I was madder than an old wet hen. This is NOT hynotherapy, but just a modern version of snake oil salesmen.
