I have been reading other complaints about this school. I too have had the same problem. I have attended this college since January 2009 and have never received my stipend checks on time. They are required by law to disburse funds after 14 days and have them posted to your account in 30 days. This will never happen and they will always have some stupid excuse why they should keep the money so long. They will be sneaky too, by posting on your account that a check has been processed. Then they will mail it up to a week later. I have all the dated envelopes. Once they went so far as to send me a blank envelope with no address on it. Another time with no apartment number on it. Then they would be that envelope in a new one and send it again. This new semester it took over two months to get my funds posted. 19 days for a check to processed, and another week for it to be mailed. There is something very fishy going on. While we are paying interest on our loans, GCU is earning interest on our money while it sits in their Bank of America account, which by the way is based in Georgia. It would be too much for them to just steal our money, so they use this tactic of theft to not get caught. I couldn't even get the books and supplies I needed to complete classes and yet they still want me to pay for a class I can't do. They then want to punish me for withdrawing from a school full of scam artists. I say that everyone who has been treated like this and ripped off not stand for it. We need to take action and not just write reviews. I suggest everyone file a complaint with the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education. The website is http://azppse.state.az.us/student_info/default.asp. Please download a complaint form and send it in. That is what I will be doing. It is the only way to stop this and get our message across.
