Several years ago we were contacted by Grand Crowne Resorts to purchase a tour package in Branson, Missouri. The package included a stay for 4 days/3 nights. The package also included 2 tickets each to 2 shows. We were denied these as well. We were charged $99.00 Due to circumstances beyond our control, the time limit on the package expired and we didn't pursue anything further.

In June 2007, we once again contacted and told we could still use the package even though it had expired. But, we were charged an additional $30.00 to "keep the dates". Which we paid knowing we would make it there this time.

When we arrived there we were asked to produce an ID and a major credit card or check book. I do not carry my check book on vacations and we thought that having a Visa Debit card is a major credit card. I mean its a Visa, its accepted everywhere else.

The lady behind the counter became rude and literally tore up our appointment card and informed us that we could not see the tour and could only stay for 3 days/2 nights. When asked about the $30.00 she told us it was mentioned on the computer but there was nothing she would do about it and was rude and telling us that we just had to speak with customer service.

Now this is a joke, because customer service never returns your phone calls. We tried twice from Branson and again when returning to Ohio. This was a long way to go to get spoken to like a criminal and be rejected in front of others on top of it. Humiliating to inform our children that we had to leave a day earlier and that we had just been totally ripped off.

We feel we kept our end of the bargain up and showed up on the specific dates and so we should get our $30.00 at least back. Why isn't a debit card, Sears or JCPenny considered a major credit card. We have no other cards. Why are we punished for being smart in the credit card category???
