My fiance and I were contacted about attending a presentation with the promises of a "big prize", we live almost an hour from fort mill and debated on whether or not to even go in the first place... I am 22 years old and have a last name that is different than my fiances. I spoke plenty of times with the man that set up the appointment and verified that since we were not married yet we could still qualify for the benefits, and also because I was 22 (25 is what the "rules" state), that we would qualify. He assured me that only 1 person had to be 25 and we would be fine.

We made the 40 minute drive and sat through the 3 hour presentation. We weren't interested in the sales pitch at the time and decided not to purchase anything, we then got our "prize", which was a choice of a few different vacations, all nearly impossible to set up and with all kind of crazy fees. My fiance and I decided, "hey, what the heck! we'll try to make it work" and started planning accordingly.

The next day we got a call from the man that set everything up stating that we did not qualify for the prize because my fiance and I's addresses were not the same (we have lived together for over a year now and our licenses both show the same address), licences were something that the company checked at the front door and should have noticed then... I thought it was crazy to make that accusation that our addresses weren't the same and had a nagging suspicion that we were about to be scammed... so we went through the trouble of copying and faxing our ID's to him.

After faxing in our IDs I never got a return call from the man whether everything was ok or not, so I decided to call and check in, only to be told that since I was 22 we did not qualify, and "tough crap" pretty much.... The man was no help whatsoever and was honestly rude, like it was MY fault I wasn't 22??! I would never recommend this place to anyone, it is a sham and a waste of time!

Scam

AUTHOR: Lorenzen - (U.S.A.)

Yes, the vast majority of these "presentations" are indeed scams.  They'll say and do anything to get you in the door, none of which they remember later.  It's best to avoid all such sales tactics.
