Dear Editor,

Im just a little person, not a politician or anything, in fact Im on welfare because I have not been able to secure a job in quite some time. What do you say to those people that you thought were legitimate business people and then find out that they are scamming their workers?

This is what I found out about a woman, calling herself Dr. Lanora Anderson (herein and thereafter referred to she AKA Eleanor) with Grant Consultants, Incorporated, with businesses in Ohio, Florida and Atlanta. First and foremost is that her real name? Changing your name in Ohio is as long as it's not done for illegal purposes such as: deception, evading the law or avoiding debt.

Because according to the Secretary of State for Ohio, apparently it is not. It is apparent that Grant Consultants, Incorporated does not exist in Ohio. She probably left off the LLC part because Incorporated sounds a little more classy (my opinion only).

I guess it is not unheard of for an employer to have potential employees pay for their own background check. Just as it is not that uncommon for an employer to have employees submit time sheets, hold staff meetings, submit activity reports and timesheets to hold them accountable, so they can get paid. That is one of the ways we establish employer-employee relationships. Just is not the case with Grant Consultants, Incorporated as she only pays selected employees. Unfortunately for the rest of the individuals it has been a long wait. And it appears that what she does is after the people quit, she hires other individuals on the pretense that they will be paid as well, just to be let down.

How do you hire someone to support your Florida operations, setting up an email account in your name on September 2, 2010? I did not know she was not incorporated in the State of Florida to do business on that date. I sent out over 4,000 emails to Florida schools and other organization. This is what I found out after she said a check was being sent over night and it's been a few days and no check. The State of Florida Department of Corporations site has a filing date of 09/27/2010 which is after the fact to cover her misdoings maybe? But we still don't even know if she is who she says she is. Please understand that I am not trying to defame her name, but perhaps her actions alone will scar her reputation with no help from me.

Would you like to know how

many people she has hired and has not paid? At least 8 individuals. I am aware only one that had an actual

contract and probably most every one quit because of non payment of wages.

When you turn your resignation in, your email account is shut off

immediately so there is no record of you. Well except me, I just by

chance sent to my personal account most of the pertinent emails in order to

have a paper trail.

Does she only have only to worry about that one

individual that had a contract? To the contrary because accordingly:

Employment is a contract between

two parties,

one being the employer and

the other being the employee.

An employee may be defined as: "A person in the service of another under any contract of hire, express or

implied, oral or written, where the employer has

the power or right to

control and direct the employee in the material details of how the work

is to be performed." Black's Law Dictionary page 471 (5th ed. 1979.)

If she is being deceptive

with the employees money, how then can we be assured she is not doing the

same with other business dealings? If she is not being truthful to the people

she once employed who then will be responsible to find out what the truth

is? For those individuals, even though its not a lot, who will

help us get justice because you or someone you know could be the next. According to Mirriam-Webster deceive:

The truth: she is relying on individuals to perform work

for her to benefit her company. The truth: she owes thousands of dollars in unpaid wages

and perhaps is holding on to it for reasons unknown and without explanation. The

truth: this is not an isolated

incident as there are at least 7-8 others that are experiencing the same

mishap with this organization/business woman. The truth: if this was one or perhaps two individuals

that did not warrant pay for whatever reason, I could understand that, but this

is certainly not the case. We cannot

get any answers from this woman as to when or if she is going to pay

us. We have to stop individuals like this that are preying on

others, that intentionally and willfully are refusing to pay them. Because the truth is: All we want is our wages for the work

performed during our employment with Grant Consultants, Incorporated. What and how much proof do you need?

What happened to

business integrity? We are struggling too and the world would be better place

if we let it be known that we are not going to take it! Can you

help us? Several of us have requested payment of wages and there is no

response. If in fact, if she is a reputable business woman, then why is

there no response?
