Great Cars And Trucks is a complete SCAM!! They found me on Craigs List - my ad cost $200 and after not selling may car I have never been refunded. They will not return or answer phone calls. ripoff Calgary Alberta

After I posted my car for sale on Craigs List, I was contacted by a Company Called "Great Cars and Trucks" great cars and trucks.com out of Calgary, Alberta offering to sell my car for a $199 fee . For this fee THEY offered to sell my car in 90 days with a money back guarantee after the 90 day period. The 90 days had passed and my car did not end up being sold.

I then contacted this company to get my refund and they said that if my car was sold (even if it was not through them) they would not refund my money so they needed proof of registration. At no point did they disclose this information when they had initially discussed the fee as well as the money back guarantee.

Also, they wanted me to mail in my credit card information, as well as my signature and car registration for them to be able to get me a refund and that had to be within 7 days of the end of the 90 day posting, which was also was never mentioned when first discussing the conditions with them. They claimed that I can not fax or email this information to them which seemed sketchy, I can only mail it.

I was very reluctant to mail such personal account information, along with my signature as well as a copy of my car registration to a Company I believe to be engaged in such fraudulent activity. I did not end up selling my car and still have proof of ownership. As requested by them in order to get my refund I sent a copy of my registration papers for proof of current ownership as well as all other information they requested. Since then I have called several times to ask for the status of my refund and have repeatedly been permanently put on hold where I have been forced to hang up after waiting 30 minutes for someone to come to the phone.

The reason I am filing this complaint is because I believe this company to be fraudulent and misleading in soliciting business from customers and to dispute the $199 fee they rightfully need to refund back to me.
