collector karen called to check past due balance - which is now paid - my husband who was just home from another hospital stay told her when we would be sending the check - when she asked the reason for the delay - he told her about his illness - he has have 3 amputations on his feet and cannot work - we are living on my income - she stated he was a poor provider and she would never marry a man like that - I could not believe that she talked to my husband like that - how dare she - i contacted her supervisor, andy - explained what had happened - he didn't even know what a poor provider was - really - I had to explain it to him - he was totally unconcerned - was not even going to being the subject up to karen - said he would review that take - if they had them - which was a shot in the dark - can you believe that is what he told me - i asked him if either he or karen knew the correct collection procedure - you cannot talk to people that way she did - he said he was sure she was just doing her job - seriously - then he said i could follow up if i wanted to - how can they get away with this?
