The more I read about the bad business practices of Green Tree and all it's alias's, the more I want to file a Class Action Law-Suit against them. If we all would just take our writing to the next level and get a lawyer (collectively) that's willing to put this company in it's place; then we might be able to stop this company from ruining the rest of our lives and the beginning of others'. We had purchased a loan from a owner that originally had it with Conseco. They eventually had been bought out by GreenTree. I made the payments every 22 days because of the interest being charged on the loan. The first 4 years I wasn't aware of this is a loan like a credit card. Interest daily! So now i am a month ahead of payments. This company is so screwed up. I paid my insurance with them and they took interest out of my insurance payment. Than I payed my one month ahead payment and they charged interest and the insurance for that month also, which was doubled insurance for one month. I called, to no help. People in their call centers have no clue of what is going on. they are trained and brainwashed to say a slew of things form a computer screen, not listening to a word your saying. They seem to always have reason why they chrage for something "interest on insurance"? After several letters I finally recieved half of a finance charge on Our insurance payment. This Company is not with the BBB, because of unfair tactics and not solving issues with customers complaints. After 8 years of all this crap with this company all I can say is I have learned alot about signing for a loan that I thought and was told was a Mortgage loan. This company made me realize there is alot of scam artists out there to get your money, no matter what it takes. I am paying this loan off as fast as we can. All I can say to people out there is Never deal with a company until doing your homework and check up on the company.
Also, we realized that Our bank has a better rate and we are paying off this account to pay the interest to the bank instead. If someone has a legal fight and wins with this company I will be surely happy, but now it is a fight for us all whom had troubles with Greetree. Don't let them threaten you, and keep writing letters to them demanding what you believe is your rights. record all phone calls which i do now, and keep all copies of everything you send.
