Green Tree Lending Harassed threatened,and ripped off St Paul Minnesota

I have had an account with Green Tree Lending since 1997. From the first day they have called continually each month saying that their payment is late even when it is not due yet. They constantly raise the amount of the monthly payment so that I do not know what I owe each month. The amount of the payoff never goes down. When asked about the payoff amount I am told that it is whatever the company wants it to be and that I will not be allowed to pay it off until Green Tree is ready for it to be paid off.

I have tried to work with them on rewriting the mortage so that a lower amount that can be paid each month would be agreed on. Instead Green Tree raises the amount each time I talk to them. I get calls demanding money in excess of what I am suppose to pay. I am told that I should quit nursing school and work two more jobs on top of the full time job I am already working so that these people can take that money as well. I must be lazy for not being able to meet their demands. I am continually told that the loan is in default and that I will be foreclosed on and forced into the streets. I have been told that Green Tree will see that I can never get a home loan or a personal loan from any lending institution in this country.

My husband and I are tired of being harassed by them. Right now we feel that if Green Tree wants this mobile home that badly they can come and get it. They were not honest in the purchase price. I thought I would be paying off a $30,000 debt but instead with all of the hidden fees Green Tree tacked on it ended up being a $100,000 debt on a mobile home that is not worth $15,000 in the area where we live. These people have to be made to understand they can not treat people in such a fashion.
