Last summer in July of 2006 I was behind on my house payments to Green Tree servicing. They sent a registered card and told me the amount I was due to pay them and thus I kept making payments till November when they served me with court papers to the effect if I didnt cure the default they would take my house. I went to my bank after trying to find soeone to refinance my home and got a loan to pay this amount up. I sent the $509.72 on the card/court papers and two house payments of $332.84 for a total of $1202.94 which was actually about $25 more then I needed to send them at the time. Today April 22nd, 2007 I was served AGAIN for the same registered card as in July for the same abmount of $509.72. Since my bank doesnt return checks and keeps everything on computer files I just spent 3 hours going through files to find copies of things and of all things to find was a canceled check for $1202.94. Now I dont know how they do their bookkkeeping or paper work but doesnt that constituite fraudulent practices by trying to get extra money out of me? Im seriuosly thinking about contacting an attorney about it. The only payment I owe them is for April 2007 and I am contacting my US congressman on it as well. Someone needs to buy this company out and shut them down- they are as crooked as the Ho chmen trail.
