Here's a good one for the Greentree Servicing,LLC CSR Dummies. Selling my home had a great buyer to offered me more then the appraisal price. Everything was going great until the title search. Good old Greentree had a lien on the house from a 2nd mortgage. Note: I paid them off through a Chapter 13 several years ago.
Let me get to the good stuff, their customer service is the worse I have ever encountered. Tried to negotiate with them offering them the proceeds that would have gone to me $15,453 the original 2nd mortgage loan was $ 27,000. People do the math, are they crazy or what? I would walk away with zero which was okay I would have been released from the 1st and 2nd mortgage and start a new life in another city.
Those crazy people in collections said No! You have to file a Short Sale with us, we want all our money or pay the $15,453 before you close and we will release the lien. Have you ever tried to get one of their supervisors for any kind of help? Don't do it the supervisor/mangers are worse then their subordinates. The manager told me "What did I tell you and what did the CSR tell you" the next thing I heard silence, the manager just transferred me to the Short Sale Department.
I told them under no circumstances was I filing for a Short Sale with Greentree; if it was any other mortgage company I would have considered it. Well the bottom line is I chose to walk away. Yep, after all these years I chose foreclosure. They can sell the house on the courthouse stairs! Revenge is mine! Greentree won't get a dime. Chapter 13 taught me how to live without credit cards, everything paid in cash. It wasn't bad at all kept me from getting into trouble. I pray for all of their customers I know well how they talk to you, how they treat you like dirt over the phone. I know you all are struggling and would not make such high cris decision as I did, Being a old school baby boomer you burn me I burn you back! That's how much I absolutely hate GreenTree. They pushed the envelope I tore it up!
