Their main office is in Irvine but their services are mobile. My service was done at Grand Hand Car Wash in Chino Hills, CA.
After driving in only for a car wash, one of the Greenshield technicians starts inspecting my windows - something that's never happened before. He immediately starts telling me that the chips and one minor crack on my windshield could become more serious. I asked if it would take extra time to do and he said he could fix it before my car went through the wash. I thought it interesting that they would use filler just before a wash - doesn't it need time to dry? But I figured he knew what he was doing so I did not question it.
During the drive home I noticed that the chips and crack were STILL visible and the chemical they used was drying in smudges (partial hand prints) all over the windshield. I did not want the chemical to dry even further and become permanent, so I immediately started to try to wipe the stuff off.
After about 30 minutes of elbow grease I finally was able to get the stuff off before it dried.
I've seen advertisements for this kind of work before and I should of did my homework first. I would not recommend having "repairs" done to your vehicle at a car wash. Go to a reputable facility that does the work in-house.

I own Greenshield Auto Glass
The smudges yes could have been removed by asking the tech to get them off. Sometimes they are hard to see. They do not dry permanent to the vehicle they are easily removed with a wax compound. We try to perform the repair process at the car wash locations quickly to not hold your wash up. When I find out employees are not doing there job correctly the are fired immediately.
Its hard to rebuttal something when the gentlemen claiming the rip off report claims that he did not research or understand windshield repair. In the comment left he clearly states he does not know what he is talking about and he had not researched it.
Drying time for every type of crack is different depending on air trapped inside the crack or structural damage.
We still do business out of Grande car wash and have another facility at chino hills car wash. We have been in chino hills area for years.
We have done thousands and thousands or repairs for customers in the area.
Windshield repair is performed by doing pressure cycles of injecting uv activated glass in a series of pressure cycles removing all air out of the crack. Doesnt mean the crack disappears it just depends on how much structural damage. The glass is ultra violet cured so its very quick bout 6 min and its dried.
So you came into a car wash a windshield company on a multi million dollar facility approached you fixed your windshield free without holding you up, gave you a warranty with all our corporate info on it which is how you made the report and your windshield did not crack but had a few smudges that easily could have been taken off by the tech or myself personally by a simple phone call to the corporate number on the invoice or simply asking the tech to remove it.

i have had a couple of my veichles winshields repaired by greenshield and have had great results. Both times they saved me from having to replace the windshield which is not a cheap expense. The final repair looked great the technicians were very professional. i would recomend them to any of my friends.
