Kip the owner of Grizzly Auto Body in Lolo agreed to consign my Volvo V70 vehicle in the summer of 2013.  When i tried to follow up on the car, he repeatedly was too buzy to talk on the phone after promising to sell the car quickly.  Kips word meant absolutely nothing.  After attempting to sell the car below my minimum price, he told me he "drove the car home twice (60 miles round trip each) to check how the car drove."

After I called to arrange pickup of the car when it was not sold, Kip had closed the shop.  I had to wait for his girlfriend for 45 minutes after driving 3 hours to pick up my car.  If Kip is a decent mechanic, why was the oil in the car a quart below the low oil mark on the dipstick?  If the car were to be consigned, did Kip or his girlfriend have authorization to drive 948 miles?

Kip ripped me off for approximately $500 by driving my car when he was supposed to be selling the vehicle in consignment.  While proud of his Used Auto Dealership license, it is clear to me he has no business having this license.  When leaving the car, Kips girlfriend did not know how to title a car, or notorize paperwork to do so.

The door locks were messed with, and at least one door piece broken, scratches on the seats, and I found dog hair in the back of the vehicle, along with a lawn mower blade.  If you want a cheap, cut-rate, speakeasy guy for a mechanic, I recommend Kip, who believes he can do what he wants with your property.

A person is only as good as thier word.  Kip's meant nothing, and felt he could seal from his customers.

2014-03-25

Mike was referred to Grizzly Auto by a mutual friend. Mike brought in his Volvo V70 which was in substandard condition and not up to Grizzly Auto's standard of sales.

Before taking vehicle I test drove it to my residence  and discovered  numerous mechanical problems- which included worst of all- when putting the key into the ignition it could not be removed. The vehicle had a starting problem- with the engine light constantly on. But  Mike stated that he did not want to spend anymore money to fix these problems. We then asked Mike to pick-up his vehicle and he threw a tantrum saying that the car had no insurance and the license plates were expired. Because of the ignition problems the Volvo had to be locked in the shop nightly. As for interior damages-the car was older-so the leather seats were cracked and somewhat falling apart.  The condition of the car was left the same as when it came in.

If at all-we should have charged him storage fees that would equal more than what the car was worth.

Furthermore, Mike has never contacted Grizzly Auto to discuss these claims.

As for Notarizing- There were no mistakes on title - except the way he signed his name. Proper steps were taken to fix this and the $10.00 Notary fee was returned to him.

Beware of doing business with this man. If things don't go his way he will throw a temper tantrum and add you to his list of "RIPOFF" complaints.

Our reputation is very important to us. This negative tirate of Mike's does not speak for our excellent customer relations. As our 5 Star Uhaul rating shows.
