Luckily I could tell it was a scam. I called Regions Bank and they said that the account number on the check was already flagged as a fraudulent scheme. Trouble is, most people deposit the check in their own accounts thinking that the check clears. It does at first and then the scammers ask you to wire them money to cover the 'costs' out of the money they sent you. Trouble is, by the time your bank notifies you that the check is returned due to fraud, you have already lost your money.
Don't fall for this scheme!!!!
