This was the second time in two years that i was approached outside my home regarding a gentlemen(s) trying to pass off Giorgio Armani leather jackets to me.. They claim they just came back from a convention from the city... (in this case, Manhattan), and they are flying back to Italy. They had showed me their passport, rental car agreements (license plates from NEW JERSEY), tickets to JFK, etc. I was almost taken in the first time, but fortunately, i did not have a dime in my pocket. The second time, i was very skeptical, but thought that it was too good to be true.... in that case, i denied any sales transaction with these gentlemen. He even extended the offer to follow me to my bank while i withdrew the case!!!!
Either way, BEWARE of these people! Although the say, "I do not really need the money, I just want to avoid paying the TAX for these at the airport", DO not FALL for this!
All together they had six leather jackets that they wanted to sell for 700 dollars.
My nieghbors are suffolk county policemen... if they were to come back, i will contact them immediately!
