Back in 2006 I had my taxes prepared by HR Block. I had 5 W2's, therefore I was asked if they could do my taxes after hours seeing it would take so lone. I agreed. The next day as planned I was contacted with my return amound, the list of charges, and the option to elect Peace Of Mind Insurance. I agreed.

Then the end of March 2008 I receive audit papers. I hand delivered the audit report to HR Block 4 days later. HR Block only documented 3 of my W2's. Seeing I did not have my taxes prepared face to face they did not ask any questions about my prior year filing. Apparently when you itemize you need to claim your state return. Did I know that? NO. Was I asked, NO.

One day I receive a letter stating that my claim was denied. Along with it a check for a couple hundred dollars for P and I for the time they worked on my claim. And in small print it said by cashing I would relieve HR Block of the claim. I never cashed the check. Reason for the denial, I could not furnish my 2006 original tax papers. LOST. Therefore, according to them I only furnished them with 3 W2's.

It instructs you to contact HR Block via a 1 800 number. I was informed then that a manager from the local branch actually denies the claim. I on numourous occasions tried to contact Michael. He never returned my call. I even went to the office on numourous occasion. They act concerned and tell you they will be in touch. No one calls back.

I paid for a service. I paid for additional insurance coverage and HR Block ignores and tries to scam you by sending you a check.

I now owe the IRS 4300.00. Single mother at the time, working 2 jobs and going to college. I asked HR Block to cover some and they replied that it is not their problem.
