Here is my letter sent to the FLORIDA ATTORNEYS GENERAL AND TENNESSEE ATTORNEYS GENERAL ON HARRIS DIGITAL.

The above website is the NET DETECTIVES TECHNICAL EMAIL. That is one that needs to be used when emailing this unscrupulous company. Unfortunately, it appears this company is extremely fraudulent.

I suggest everyone send letters to the FLORIDA ATTORNEYS GENERAL OFFICE IMMEDIATELY upon realizing they have been scamed by this fraudulent business, as well as their state's ATTORNEYS GENERAL.

I have also contacted my VISA FRAUD DEPARTMENT and am following through with the appropriate action.

Dear Sirs:

On 12/03/04 I ordered Net Detective online for 29.00. My Visa card ########### 00 was charged for that amount. I have not been able to use their software, as the searches come back as null, even on myself. I have emailed them directely today wanting a full and IMMEDIATE refund, to no avail. They have refused to respond either by phone or by email today, with only receiving an auto bot response.

I have contacted Visa Fraud and am disputing this charge. I am also in contact with the State of Tennessee ATTORNEYS GENERAL office today.

I am considering a class action suit, as there are hundreds, if not thousands of complaints filed against this company on a website entitled RIP OFF REPORT.

Please advise.

THIS IS THE LETTER I RECEIVED VIA EMAIL TODAY REGARDING MY REFUND AND ACCOUNT CLOSURE.

***NOTICE THEM REFERRING TO "TRUSTED" COMPANIES, SUCH AS WAL MART, ETC. AND COMPARING THEIR BUSINESSES WITH THESE COMPANIES!!!

********** THE GALL OF THIS COMPANY IS INCREDIBLE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH CAVALIER DISREGARD OF PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS PRACTICES!

Ms. Johnson,

It is not possible for your refund to post to your account today. Even if we were to receive your refund form today and process it at this moment, you would not receive a refund for approximately three business days, as the credit has to be authorized by both our merchant bank, as well as your financial institution.

Once we receive the dispute paperwork from your credit card company, we will respond with an explanation of the situation, based on the e-mail correspondence between you and our company.

Concerning the complaints against our company on www.badbusinessbureau.com, try pulling up any other "trusted" company. Try Wal-Mart, Dell Computer, or any other company name. If the company does as much business as we do, they will likely have just as many complaints, if not more.

The complaints posted on that website may or may not be true, as they are posted on the website without any verification of the issue by anyone associated with that website. The fact remains, that we offer a more then generous 90 day refund policy. We could make the refund policy only 30 days long, or not offer one at all. We have not taken that route however, and we do offer the refund policy. We also make certain that you are made aware of the refund policy prior to your purchase through the Harris Digital Publishing Terms and Conditions. If you did not agree with the terms and conditions of the purchase, you should not have purchased the program. Now that you have purchased the program, if you want a refund you are required to complete and return the refund request form, as per the agreement you made with our company when you purchased the product. If you do not complete and return a refund request form to us, you will not receive a refund.

As a reminder, the refund policy posted on our website is:

Harris Digital guarantees your satisfaction with Net Detective for a period of 90 (ninety) days from the original date of purchase. You agree that if you choose to request a refund of your membership, you will do so by notifying the Harris Digital support group within the specified time by phone or via the Harris Digital support website's support request form (www.harrisdigitalsupport.com). You further agree, after your eligibility for a refund is confirmed, to fill out and return via mail the Harris Digital refund request form ("rrf").

If you wish to view our terms and conditions statement in it's entirety, please return to any one of our order pages, such as the order form at http://www.netdetective.net/ and click on the "Terms and Conditions" link next to the check box at the bottom of the order page.

If you are not able to print the form please reply with the name and address that you would like us to mail a copy of the form to. Once we receive the form back from you, we will process your refund in 24 hours and send you a confirmation e-mail. Your credit will post to your account within three to five business days after the date of your confirmation e-mail.
