My account was recently service transferred to HC Processing effective September, 2012. I called them to make the September payment and was informed I was not yet in ther system and once I was then I could make the payment. I was told it could take upwards of a month. By the end of September I still had heard nothing so I called again. I was once again told I was not yet in the system. I called again twice more all with the same result. Finally on the 5th call I was finally in the system. I was given the account number as well as told how to make an online payment. This was around 10/23-10/25. I also finally received a letter from them around that time as well. On 10/26 I made a$300 payment. That payment included September & October's $150 payments. On 10/29 a collection letter was drafted and mailed out. I received said collection letter on 11/6. When I called to ask about it I was put on hold for over 20 minutes then simply told 'It was a mistake, the spreadsheet must've been about a week old and that my account was current.' I asked for a letter of apology and something stating that my account is in fact in good standing and that there is no problem. That request was refused. I asked to speak to a supervisor or the collection department. That request was refused. I was informed that I was speaking to Roseanne (ext 1717) and that she was the boss there and there was no one above her. I said there has to be someone above her and she refused to give me anyone else. The call was ended at that point. I called back and got Shannon "Shannon" (ext 1718) and asked for a supervisor other then Roseanne. She said there is no one else, Roseanne is god as far as I'm concerned. I called a 3rd time and talked to Latricia, she claimed she couldn't find my account (despite no one else having a problem) and insisted I was clearly giving her the wrong account number. I hung up and called back again. The 4th person I spoke to was suddenly able to find the account again but stated I was in the wrong department (collections) and I am not in collections despite the letter they sent me. She said all I could do was talk to Roseanne. As there is apparently no one else I can talk to and I need a letter verifying that it was an error and my account is in good standing I am forced to file a complaint, both against them for their utter lack of customer service and for falsely sending a collection letter.
I paid this loan for 45 of the 52 payments so far, ALWAYS on time and ALWAYS a little more then what was due (10.00 - 15.00 more a month). It wasn't until the loan was service transferred that I now have an issue.
