HP IS THE WORST COMPUTER I HAVE EVER USED. ITS 2 DAYS OLD. WE CALLED TECH SUPPORT AND ITS LIKE BEING IN A MAC COMMERCIAL. CALL GET TRANSFERRED TO SOME 3RD WORLD COUNTRY WITH SOME PAKISTANI YOU CAN BARELY UNDERSTAND. HE TRIES TO CONNECT TO OUR COMPUTER BUT HIS OWN SOFTWARE FAILS. THE TECH SUPPORT NEEDS TECH SUPPORT! WE CALL BACK ASKING FOR A MANAGER, THEY ASK FOR ALL DETAILS WE COOPERATE, THEY PUT US ON HOLD FOR 15 MINUTES AND TELL US THE MANAGER SAYS....WE POLITELY ASK TO TALK TO THE MANAGER AGAIN, ONCE AGAIN ON HOLD FOR 15 MINUTES. WE ASK WHO WE ARE SPEAKING TO SAYS LLOYD ASK FOR EMPLOYEE NUMBER, SAYS DO NOT HAVE ONE YET WE ARE GETTING THEM IN 2 MOS. ASK FOR LAST NAME PUTS US ON HOLD THAN DISCOS LINE. WE FIND OUT MANAGERS NAME IS ARN OR JOHN. NEITHER PERSON COMES TO THE PHONE. WE LEFT CALL BACK NUMBERS ARE CALLS WERE NEVER RETURNED. WE ASKED FOR THE NAME OF THE OUT SOURCING COMPANY AND YOU GUESSED IT, THEY WOULD NOT TELL US. WE EVEN RECORDED THE CALL AND TOLD THEM, THEY COULD CARE LESS. THESE MORONS ARE AS GOOD AS TELEPHONE SOLICITORS. NEVER EVER BUY ANY HP PRODUCTS. IF THIS IS HOW MUCH THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS TO SUPPLY TECH SUPPORT LIKE THIS....GOOD THING IS ...WERE RETURNING THE COMPUTER IN THE MORNING AND THEY CAN SHUV WHERE THE TURBAN DOES NOT SHINE. BUNCH OF COMPLETE A-HOLES. WE WILL NEVER EVER BUY AN HP PRODUCT AGAIN.
WE HAVE MAC BUT THOUGHT WE SHOULD GIVE WINDOWS A TRY. WINDOWS 7 IS A COMPLETE PILE OF GARBAGE. THAN AGAIN IT GOES HAND IN HAND WITH HP.
GO TO HE** HP AND MAY YOU AND WINDOWS BE CHAPTER 22. YOU MAKE BELL CANADA LOOK LIKE THE SALVATION ARMY.

Search TipsI am entering this on an HP laptop and my wife has an HP desktop we've had for 5 years with never a hiccup. I'm sure you're having problems but it is not a characteristic of HP.
I work at a school system that has a mix of Apple and PC's. Contrary to what the Apple people try to tell you, they don't work any better than PC's. We have very few problems with either. We use Lenovo, HP, Dell and Apple.
By the way, Windows 7 works just fine, we have no more problems than we have with the MACs. This actually sounds like a typical Apple geek ranting again.
From the tone of your report, you seem to think your stuff doesn't stink. I have owned HP products for years and recommned them to friends and family. I have had to call HP Customer Support and they have been more than helpful and resolved my issues. They follow a script and escalate as necessary to resolve your issue.
Your sense of entitlement is astounding.
By the way, typing in all caps is considered yelling and rude.

All of this rambling and we still have no idea what the actual problem was with the HP Computer.What exactly was the problem with the HP computer? Please be specific.
However, you should be aware of a few things. First, ALL computer mfg tech support is overseas, mostly in India. ALL OF IT. Second, you mentioned problems with Win7. HP does not make Win7, nor does its warranty cover it.
If you needed WINDOWS 7 tech support, you should have called Microsoft. Then tell me how you feel after several hours on the phone on hold and being bounced around before you actually get a real live person. And, guess what? That person is in India too!
I think you were just suffering culture shock going from an Apple/Mac to a Win/PC.
I hope you enjoy paying the 15% or more "restocking" fee when you return that computer to the store! After all, it's not defective until tech support says it is under the conditions of the warranty.
By the way, I have ALL HP equipment and have never experienced any problem with any of it that I didn't bring on myself. HP is top of the line as far as I am concerned. Right now I am running 2 different model HP laptops and 3 HP printers, one being a portable. I have an HP digital camera too!
The bottom line is that you are just computer illiterate, and/or just like to complain.
No rip off here.
